Chain

We lift our voices together in agreement, declaring the mighty power of Jesus Christ over every chain that seeks to bind God’s children. The Word of God declares, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). There is no chain—whether of addiction, fear, sin, oppression, or despair—that can withstand the authority of the name of Jesus. He alone has conquered sin and death, and through Him, we walk in freedom.

We rebuke every spirit of bondage in the name of Jesus. The enemy has no authority over those who are in Christ, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB). Every chain of addiction, whether to substances, habits, or unhealthy relationships, must bow to the power of the cross. Every chain of generational curses, depression, anxiety, or ungodly soul ties—we command it to break now in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus has already secured our victory, and we stand firm on that truth.

If you are struggling under the weight of chains today, we encourage you to turn fully to Jesus. Confess any sin that may be giving the enemy a foothold in your life. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Surrender every area of your life to Him, for He is the only One who can truly set you free. Walk in obedience to His Word, for "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death" (Romans 8:2 WEB).

We also remind you that freedom in Christ is not just about breaking chains—it is about walking in the new life He has given you. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). You are not defined by your past or your struggles. You are defined by the love and redemption of Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We declare that every chain must break in the presence of Your power. Lord, we ask You to loose those who are bound, to open the eyes of those who are blind to their captivity, and to set the captives free. We rebuke every spirit of addiction, fear, depression, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We command every chain to shatter and every stronghold to crumble under the weight of Your glory.

Father, we pray for those who are struggling today. Give them the strength to turn away from sin and to run to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom You have purchased for them. Remind them that they are no longer slaves to sin but are now slaves to righteousness (Romans 6:18). Surround them with godly community, that they may be encouraged and held accountable in their walk with You.

Lord, we thank You that Your Word does not return void. We thank You that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us (Ephesians 1:19-20). We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand on Your promises, and we declare victory in Jesus’ name.

For those who do not yet know You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of their salvation. Open their hearts to receive the truth of the gospel. Help them to understand that there is no other name under heaven by which they must be saved (Acts 4:12). Draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the freedom and new life that only You can give.

We seal this prayer in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We join our hearts together, believing in the power of Jesus' name to break every chain. We've been reminded of the verse, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Let's claim this truth for ourselves and for those bound by any form of captivity today. We declare freedom over every situation, in Jesus' mighty name.
