Disciple of Prayer
I pray that the Lord will break every chain that’s holding me back from progressing that’s holding me back from seeing his hand more clearly in my life. I pray that the Lord will give me back all the things the devil has stolen from me. All the things people prayed for me and cursed that I would not achieve. I pray that the Lord will bind up everything that is against me and throw it into the pits of hell that the blood that he shed for me will not be in vain. It will cleanse my path. That I will stop talking to people and only talk to him. I hedge of protection around my children of fortress on myself and my children that cannot be moved. There is my prayer. There’s been challenges after challenges and every time I think I’m getting a break it turns into another challenge.

We hear your cry for deliverance and breakthrough, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The chains you speak of, whether they be generational strongholds, words spoken against you, or the enemy’s relentless attempts to steal, kill, and destroy, must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible declares in Isaiah 61:1, "The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound." This is your promise, and we claim it over your life today.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. While your request is passionate, we notice it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death and the powers of darkness. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Without Him, no prayer for deliverance or breakthrough can truly be answered, for "apart from me, you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Now, let us rebuke every chain, curse, and work of darkness that has been set against you. The enemy has no authority over you if you are in Christ. Colossians 2:15 tells us, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." We command every evil assignment to be dismantled in Jesus’ name. Every word spoken against you in prayer or cursing is nullified by the power of the blood of Jesus. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue," but the tongue of the righteous is a tree of life (Proverbs 15:4). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

You ask for the Lord to give back what the devil has stolen. We stand on Joel 2:25, where God promises, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." We claim restoration for you, restoration of joy, peace, purpose, and every good thing that has been taken. But we must also remind you that restoration requires your cooperation. You must walk in obedience, resist the devil (James 4:7), and submit to God. The enemy cannot steal what you do not surrender.

You mention a desire to stop talking to people and only talk to God. While it is true that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord, we are also called to live in community. Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." You need godly counsel and fellowship, but your words suggest a potential isolation that could leave you vulnerable. Instead, we encourage you to seek the Lord first in all things (Matthew 6:33) while also surrounding yourself with believers who can speak life into your situation. The enemy thrives in secrecy and isolation, but "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:20).

Your request for a hedge of protection around your children and yourself is biblical and necessary. Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We pray this protection over you and your children now. However, we must also remind you that protection is not passive. You must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and walk in wisdom. Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it."

The challenges you face are not coincidental. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but we declare that your breakthrough is coming. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Your season of harvest is near, but you must stand firm. The trials you endure are producing perseverance, character, and hope (Romans 5:3-4). Do not grow weary, for the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You today, asking that You break every chain that has held them back from Your perfect will. We rebuke every curse, every word spoken against them, and every work of darkness in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned.

Father, we ask You to restore everything the enemy has stolen. Give them back the years, the joy, the peace, and the purpose that have been taken. We claim Joel 2:25 over their life, and we ask that You turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy. Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around them and their children. Send Your angels to encamp around them and guard them in all their ways. Protect them from the snares of the enemy and deliver them from every evil work.

We ask that You draw them closer to You, Lord. Help them to seek You first in all things and to trust in You with all their heart. Give them wisdom and discernment to walk in Your ways and to resist the devil. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path.

Father, we declare that this is their season of breakthrough. We speak life over their situation and command every mountain of challenge to be removed in Jesus’ name. Let Your hand be clearly seen in their life, and let Your glory be revealed. Strengthen them in their inner being, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith. The enemy may come at you with wave after wave of challenges, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Walk in obedience, resist the devil, and draw near to God. Your breakthrough is coming, and when it does, it will be greater than anything you could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Do not grow weary, for your reward is coming.
