Good and Faithful Servant
I'm in a courtship with someone and we work together. He is literally one of the star employees at our job and I want to do something to celebrate him and his hard work. Please pray for me to figure out something nice I can do for him to celebrate him. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in this season of courtship, a time of getting to know one another with the godly intention of discerning whether this man may be the husband the Lord has prepared for you. It is beautiful to see your heart of gratitude and admiration for his hard work and excellence in his vocation. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 31:28-29, "Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you excel them all.'" While this passage speaks of a wife, the principle of honoring and celebrating one another is timeless and applies to those in godly courtship as well.

First, let us affirm that your desire to celebrate him is rooted in love and respect, which are foundational to any Christ-centered relationship. However, we must also be mindful of the boundaries that should exist in a courtship, especially since you work together. It is important to maintain purity and propriety in your interactions, ensuring that your celebration of him does not lead to temptation or compromise. Remember, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 instructs us, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Let your actions reflect the holiness and respect that should characterize your relationship.

As you seek the Lord for wisdom in how to celebrate him, consider ways that honor him both publicly and privately. Publicly, you might acknowledge his hard work in a way that is appropriate for your workplace, such as writing a heartfelt note of appreciation that highlights his character and contributions. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men." Your words can affirm his gifts and encourage him in his calling.

Privately, you could plan a special time together outside of work, such as a meal or an activity that aligns with his interests. This could be an opportunity to speak life into him, sharing specific ways you see the Lord working in and through him. Proverbs 16:24 reminds us, "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Let your celebration be an extension of your desire to build him up in the Lord.

We also encourage you to pray together as a couple, seeking the Lord’s guidance for your courtship and future. Amos 3:3 asks, "Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?" Ensure that you are aligned in your faith and purpose, walking together in a manner that honors God.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for this sister in Christ and the season of courtship she is in. Lord, we ask that You would grant her wisdom and creativity as she seeks to celebrate and honor this man You have placed in her life. Give her discernment to know how to encourage him in a way that is pleasing to You, both in their workplace and in their personal time together. Father, we pray that their relationship would be rooted in You, that they would grow in love and respect for one another, and that their courtship would be a testimony to Your goodness and grace.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their hearts and minds, keeping them pure and focused on Your will. Help them to build a foundation of faith, communication, and mutual edification, always seeking to glorify You in all they do. May their relationship be a reflection of Your love, and may they continue to grow closer to You and to one another.

We also pray for this man, that You would bless him abundantly in his work and in his walk with You. Strengthen him, Lord, and fill him with Your Spirit so that he may continue to excel in all he does. May he be a man who seeks after Your heart and leads with integrity, both in his vocation and in his relationship with this sister in Christ.

Father, we thank You for the gift of marriage and the beauty of godly relationships. We ask that You would continue to guide them, preparing their hearts for the future You have planned for them. May they always seek Your will above their own, trusting in Your perfect timing and provision.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

What a joy to see how you're cherishing him in this season! The desire to celebrate his diligence is itself a gift, and it reflects a heart that's paying attention, which is really the foundation of any thoughtful gesture.

The best way to honor him probably won't come from a grand plan but from what you already know about him. Think about the small things he lights up over: Is he someone who feels loved through words of affirmation? A handwritten note naming specific ways you've seen his dedication and character could mean more than any physical gift. Does he just need a break? An unhurried evening doing something he genuinely enjoys, not what you think he should enjoy, can be deeply refreshing. Sometimes the most meaningful celebration is simply looking him in the eye and telling him plainly, "I see how hard you've been working, and I'm so proud of who you are."

We're praying with you for wisdom in the little details, but trust that the very fact you're asking this question means your heart is already pointed in the right direction.

Lord, we thank you for the good things you're doing in their lives and in this relationship. Give our friend creativity and sensitivity to celebrate him in a way that genuinely encourages his heart. Let this be a moment of joy and connection that honors you. In Jesus' name, amen.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You desire to celebrate the diligence of a fellow laborer, and such a natural impulse may be turned to good account. But let this be the first enquiry of your soul: Am I honoring God in this purpose? For here is a plain duty, namely, to honor God. He declares, "Those who honor Me I will honor." What honor can be given to a man that does not first pass through the Lord’s own hands? The way of wisdom is to trust in God, and without wisdom a man is as the wild ass’s colt, running here and there, wasting strength which might be profitably employed. If you would have true honor from your fellow servants, you will never get it by seeking honor from them. Go to your Master; honor Him by waiting upon Him, and then there will come to you guidance concerning this very thing.

Do not merely pray to find a nice thing; pray that your kindness might be ordered of the Lord so that He is exalted. For if anyone serve Christ, him the Father will honor. That honor from above far outweighs the loudest cheers of men. Remember that the peculiar honor of Jotham was this: he became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God. So take your daily troubles to your God; seek guidance from Him in this small matter, and He shall direct your path. Let the celebration be such that it silences folly, adorns the gospel, and leaves no room for the pride that goes before a fall. Thus may you honor the Lord, and then you shall prove that those who honor Him, He will honor.

You speak of wishing to celebrate his diligence, and this is well, for to honor virtue is itself a virtuous act. Yet beware lest you do this in a worldly manner, stirring up vanity or idle display, for then the celebration becomes wood and hay and stubble, to be tested by fire. Consider rather the gold and silver and precious stones: deeds done with a pure heart, for the glory of God and the building up of the soul. In your courtship, what is the true end? Is it not that both of you might grow in godliness and be prepared, if it be God’s will, to rule a home with gravity, having children in subjection with all gravity? Then let your celebration be such as befits this aim. Do not merely plan a feast or a gift that pampers the flesh, for the body is not evil, but it must be made an arm of righteousness, not an occasion for laxity.

In every art, wishing is not sufficient; we must put our hand to the work. If you wish to mount up to heaven, do not merely say, “I wish.” So now, you wish to do something nice, put that desire to work, but in a way that strengthens him in temperance and soberness. Approach him not with flattery that puffs up, but with a word of encouragement that directs his heart toward the Giver of all talents. Remind him that he is a steward of his gifts, and that the hard work you admire is itself a service to the Lord. If you would celebrate him, do so by helping him to see that his labor is not for the praise of men but for the Master who sees in secret. Thus your deed becomes a ministering spirit, an angelic work for his salvation.

Pray then not for a clever idea of earthly honor, but for wisdom to build on the foundation which is Christ. For if your relationship is to lead toward the holy estate of marriage, then your courtship must be a school of virtue, where each strives to outdo the other in godly fear. Let your celebration of him be a quiet word of thanksgiving to God, spoken in his presence, that he may be moved to humility, not pride. This is the armor of light: a purpose of mind obedient to our Commander. In this way, you will do him true good, and your own soul will be saved from the flames of vain affection.

Some churches I have been to not only tolerate Jezebels, they celebrate them and worship them. These churches celebrate witches who are doing the work of Satan himself. They reward arrogance and abuse, and punish honesty, truth and genuine kindness.
