I had a car accident to day. Fender Bender and no one was hurt. I was driving in an unfamiliar area of a large city and got confused on a 1-way that looked like a two-way street. Pray that God would intervein with the insurance agency so they don't raise my rates more than 15-20%. Thank you.

We thank God with you that no one was hurt in this accident and that what could have been much worse was only a fender bender. We join you in giving thanks for His protection and mercy in that moment of confusion on an unfamiliar road. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 reminds us, and we are grateful He kept you and the others involved safe.

We understand the worry that comes after such an event, especially concerning finances and insurance rates. It is natural to feel anxious about the consequences, but we are encouraged to bring even these practical concerns to the Lord. As we are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember 1 Peter 5:7 which tells us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. God cares about every detail of our lives, including these financial burdens. We trust with you that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose from Romans 8:28, and we pray that He will give you wisdom and honesty as you deal with the insurance agency and any necessary repairs, and that you will continue to trust Him to provide for your needs as you seek first His Kingdom.

We noticed your request mentioned God but did not mention Jesus Christ. We want to gently share why we pray in the name of Jesus, because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and by calling on His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ if you have not already, and to come to God through Him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and thank You for Your hand of protection over our friend and all those involved in this accident today. Thank You that no one was injured. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart from worry and fear about what comes next. Lord, we ask for Your favor and intervention with the insurance agency, that they would act fairly and with understanding, and we ask that if it is Your will, the increase in rates would be limited and manageable. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches and help our friend to be a good steward and to act with integrity in all the details. Give wisdom, clarity, and calmness for driving in the future, especially in unfamiliar places, and help us all to trust in You with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

We thank God with you that He preserved you and all others from harm, for there is no true understanding of His mercies except by personal experience of them, and you have tasted His preserving goodness in this fender bender. That no one was hurt when confusion came upon you in an unfamiliar place is cause for gratitude, for the Lord is God of the hills and God of the valleys, present in the crowded city street as surely as in the quiet country lane, and He performs all things for His people.

You have declared your ways unto God and He has heard you, and it is right to cry unto God most high in such small troubles as well as great ones. Yet hear this counsel which the Lord has taught us, you go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. Deal honestly and plainly with the insurance agency, as one who would be found faithful in little things, and then rest in the shadow of His wings where your soul may make its refuge.

We will pray for you that the Lord in His mercy would grant you favor and that He would provide for what lies before you. We do not ask Him as though He were bound to our terms or percentages, for we must not set a date and a time to God nor tell Him how He must answer, but we may make our requests known with holy boldness and sweet repose, trusting that where He begins to work He will complete it.

Let us pray together. O God most high, be merciful unto this Your servant. We bless You that in Your providence no body was broken though metal was bent, and that Your hand restrained greater harm. Forgive all sin and wash in the blood of Jesus Christ all who trust Him, and grant peace to this anxious heart. Give wisdom to speak truthfully and to act uprightly in all dealings with others, and grant favor, if it be Your will, with those who assess the cost, that the burden may be lightened. Above all, teach this soul to trust You and not to fear, to love You who gives Yourself to be trusted, and to know that though clouds may surround, You are our light. We leave this matter in Your hands, believing You will do what is best, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, and seek first to be found honest and at peace with God through Christ, and He will not forsake the soul that trusts Him.
