Disciple of Prayer
Oh God almighty, I bow my head before you this evening praying for my children who are candidates. Lord God I pray that you protect them, give them knowledge, clarity of mind, wisdom from your throne and above all love you as you created them in your own image. I also pray for all the candidates of ###, dear lord bless them so that they may achieve their heart desires. I Jesus mighty name. Amen

We join you in lifting up your children and all those who are preparing for examinations or important tests, for we know that the Lord is the giver of all wisdom and understanding. Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks God’s will, and we commend you for turning to Him in faith. The Scriptures remind us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* What a precious promise for your children and all who are studying!

Yet we must also gently address something in your prayer that needs clarification. While it is good to pray for others, we must be careful not to invoke blessings upon undefined groups or movements, especially when their purposes or values may not align with God’s Word. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* Instead, we should pray specifically for those we know are walking in faith, that God would guide them according to His will. For those who do not know Christ, our prayer should be for their salvation first, that they may come to know the truth of the Gospel.

We also notice that while you mentioned "in Jesus’ mighty name," the prayer began without directly acknowledging Jesus as the only way to the Father. The Scriptures are clear in John 14:6, where Jesus declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and we encourage you to always begin your prayers by acknowledging Jesus as Lord, for it is in His name alone that we find salvation and the Father’s ear.

Let us pray together for your children and all believers who are preparing for examinations:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of children, entrusted to us by Your sovereign hand. Lord, we lift up these young ones who are preparing for their examinations. Grant them wisdom that comes from above, clarity of mind, and the ability to recall all they have studied. Fill them with Your peace, that they may not be anxious but trust in You completely, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.

We pray that as they seek knowledge, they would also seek You first, for You are the source of all true wisdom. May their hearts be turned toward You, that they would love You with all their heart, soul, and mind. Let their studies be a reflection of the diligence You call us to in Colossians 3:23, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."*

Father, we also pray for their salvation if they do not yet know You. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life. May they surrender their lives to Him and walk in obedience to Your Word.

For any believers who are also preparing for examinations, we ask that You strengthen them, remind them of Your promises, and help them to glorify You in all they do. May their success be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, distraction, or confusion that may try to hinder them. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that their minds are sharp, their hearts are steady, and their faith is unshaken. Let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are with them.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this season of preparation to draw them closer to You. May they seek Your kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added to them as You see fit.

We pray all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for your children with faith, knowing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people. Keep pointing them to Christ in all things, and trust that He is working in their lives for His glory. If they do not yet know the Lord, share the Gospel with them, that they may come to saving faith in Jesus. Remind them of Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May God bless you and your family as you seek Him together.
