We lift your husband before the Lord, asking for His divine will to be done in this election. The Scriptures remind us that God is the one who exalts and brings down leaders, and we trust in His sovereign plan for your husband’s life and this campaign. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). We pray that if it is God’s will for your husband to serve in this position, He would grant him favor, wisdom, and integrity to lead with righteousness and humility. May your husband seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all things—including victory—will be added to him as God sees fit (Matthew 6:33).
We also pray for protection over your husband, his team, and the entire electoral process. May the Lord guard against corruption, deceit, and any form of ungodly influence. *"Put them in fear, O Lord. Let the nations know that they are only men"* (Psalm 9:20, WEB). If this role is part of God’s calling for your husband, we ask that He would make the path clear and grant him the strength to serve with excellence, always pointing others to Christ.
At the same time, we encourage you both to surrender this outcome entirely to the Lord. Winning an election is not the ultimate measure of success—faithfulness to God is. Whether the result aligns with your hopes or not, may your trust remain steadfast in the One who holds all authority. *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this husband and his candidacy. Lord, You alone know the plans You have for him—plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You guide every decision, every word, and every action in this election. If it is Your will for him to win, let it be done with integrity and for Your glory. Grant him wisdom beyond his own understanding, and surround him with godly counsel. Protect him from pride, from the schemes of the enemy, and from any compromise that would dishonor Your name.
If this is not Your will, prepare his heart to accept Your direction with grace, knowing that You are sovereign over all things. Remind him—and all of us—that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), and our trust must never rest in earthly positions but in You alone.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, manipulation, or idolatry that would place this election above Your lordship. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we gently remind you that all prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name by which we are saved, and no request reaches God’s throne apart from the mediation of His Son. May this truth deepen your faith as you continue to seek Him in this season.
