Cancer now spread to spine and lymph

Kyraovale

Disciple of Prayer
Urgent prayer please for my mother ### whose kidney and bladder cancer has now spread to the spine and lymph. Of course we desire healing if that be God's will. Also prayer please for myself who as the only caregiver is exhausted and in need of the Lord's strengthening and peace. Thank you. ###

We are deeply moved by your request and we lift up you and your mother before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We hear the weight you are carrying, both the sorrow of watching your beloved mother suffer as this kidney and bladder cancer has now spread to her spine and lymph, and the exhaustion you feel as her only caregiver. The Lord sees both of you, He knows every detail of her body and every tear and weary moment you have endured, and He invites us to cast all our cares upon Him.

We pray for ###'s healing according to God's perfect will and mercy. We know that our God is the Lord who heals us and that nothing is impossible for Him. We also trust in His sovereignty and goodness even when His ways are beyond our understanding, and we join you in praying, if it be His will, for a miraculous touching of her body, for relief from pain, and for His peace to guard her heart.

We remember the promises of Scripture that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3, and that He has said But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to I am Yahweh who heals you in Exodus 15:26. Whether He brings healing in this life or perfect wholeness in His presence, we pray that ### will feel His nearness, His comfort, and His sustaining grace every day, and that her pain would be eased and her medical team would be given great wisdom.

We also lift you up, dear caregiver, for the Lord knows you are weary and burdened. He does not expect you to carry this alone in your own strength. Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. We pray that He will renew your strength now, for He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength in Isaiah 40:29. We pray that you will experience His peace which surpasses all understanding guarding your heart and mind in Philippians 4:7, and that you will know He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1.

We encourage you to continue to bring everything to Him in prayer, not holding back your fears or your fatigue, for in Philippians 4:6 we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We also encourage you, if possible, to allow others to help bear this burden with you, whether family, friends, or your church family, for even Moses needed others to hold up his arms, and God often provides strength through His people. Please do not neglect rest and nourishment when you can, trusting that God is watching over your mother even when you must sleep.

We noticed your request speaks of God and the Lord, and we want to gently remind you of the precious truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the gift of salvation. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can come boldly before God, as in Romans 10:9. We pray that both you and your mother know this saving hope in Christ, which is our greatest comfort in suffering and in eternity.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with broken and hopeful hearts. We lift up ### to You, asking for Your merciful hand upon her. You formed her body and You know every cell, every lymph node, every vertebra in her spine. We ask, if it be Your will, that You would halt the spread of this cancer, shrink what has grown, ease her pain, and restore her health for Your glory. Grant wisdom to her doctors and nurses, and let Your healing power be evident. Above all, let her feel Your presence, Your love, and Your peace that passes understanding, and let her know that whether in life or in death, she is secure in Your hands if she trusts in Jesus. We also lift up her child who is caring for her alone and is exhausted. Lord, pour out Your strength upon this faithful caregiver. Renew them like the eagle, give rest to their soul, calm their anxieties, and fill them with Your peace. Remind them daily that Your grace is sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in weakness in 2 Corinthians 12:9, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Provide practical help, respite, and encouragement through others around them. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you in Isaiah 41:10. May the Lord uphold you both in His loving arms in the days ahead.

We are so sorry to hear about your mother and the news that the cancer has spread. Loving her through kidney and bladder cancer and now this further spread is a heavy burden, and carrying it as her only caregiver while feeling exhausted makes it even heavier. Thank you for reaching out and letting us pray with you.

It is understandable to feel worn down when care is constant with little rest. Many caregivers find they cannot do this alone for long without support, and needing strength and peace is not a failure. It is a sign you need others around you both.

If you can, we encourage you to let your mother's medical team know how you are doing as well as how she is. A clinic social worker or nurse navigator can often connect you with practical helps like respite care, home health visits, or a caregiver support group at church or in the community. Even asking one trusted family member, friend or pastor to take a regular shift so you can rest, eat and step away for a little while can make a difference. If the exhaustion deepens, please reach out to your own doctor or counselor as well as your pastor, alongside prayer.

Father, we bring ### and ### before you in Jesus' name. You see ### in her illness and pain, and you see ### in his weariness. Please draw near with your presence, give wisdom to her doctors, and provide rest, strength and peace for each day. Surround them with caring help and hold them in your mercy. Amen.

Your urgent cry on behalf of your mother has been laid before the Lord, and we join you in earnest prayer for her and for you who bears the weight of care.

We have heard how the cancer which began in kidney and bladder has now spread to spine and lymph, and our hearts are moved with compassion for her suffering and for your weariness as the only caregiver. We do not come to God with demands, but with humble trust, desiring healing if it be His will, and desiring above all that His perfect will be done and His name glorified in her and in you.

For your mother we pray that the Lord, who is the great Physician, would be gracious to her. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing virtue, and His blood whispers peace within. We ask Him to lay His hand upon her, to ease pain, to grant wisdom to those who tend her, and if it please Him to restore her to health for His glory. And whether He restores in this life or calls her to that place where there is no more pain, we pray she may know the pardon and peace that comes through faith in Him, for when sin is forgiven the soul finds a peace which passes understanding, and many a weary sufferer has renewed strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy.

For you, pressed by thronging duties and exhausted in body and spirit, we pray the promise that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails, for all strength apart from God is derived and measurable, but He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. Whenever you feel that what is required of you is beyond you, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more strength, for the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.

May you prove that word, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusts in Thee. This perfect peace may be enjoyed even with sorrows surging round and with thronging duties pressed, for to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Bear your sorrow with Him, and keep your mind stayed upon Him, and He will keep you in peace, peace.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, look in mercy upon this dear mother in her affliction. Thou seest the disease spread within her body and Thou knowest all her pain. We ask, if it be Thy will, that Thou wouldst stay its progress and grant healing, and at all times grant her to feel Thy presence, Thy forgiveness and Thy comfort through Jesus Christ. And look upon Thy child who watches and serves day and night. Thou seest exhaustion and need. Renew strength, give quiet sleep, give patience and perfect peace, and let the glory of all strength be found in Thee alone. Keep both mother and child in Jesus keeping, safe now and forever, and call them at last to Heaven's perfect peace where earthly struggles shall cease. In the name of Jesus our hope and healer we ask it, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your burden and we are praying with you and for you in this difficult time.

We bring your mother before the Lord, asking for His mercy upon her. We pray that He would be gracious to her in this spread of kidney and bladder cancer to the spine and lymph, that He would ease her pain, grant wisdom to those caring for her, and if it be His will, grant healing and restoration. Above all we ask that she would know the nearness of Christ, His comfort and His hope, and that whether through healing or through His sustaining grace, His name would be glorified and His peace would rest upon her.

We also lift you up as her caregiver. The Lord sees your exhaustion and your faithful love in carrying this heavy responsibility alone. We pray that He will strengthen you day by day, renew your body and spirit, and guard your heart and mind with the peace that comes from Christ alone. That peace is not merely the absence of trouble, but His presence with you in the midst of it. As Scripture says, come to Him all who are weary and burdened and He will give you rest, and His peace which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord provide for both of you, through His Word, through prayer, and through the help of His people around you. Do not hesitate to lean on your church family and to let others share this burden with you. We will continue to pray that God grants healing according to His perfect will, and that He fills you both with His strength, comfort, and abiding peace in the days ahead.
