Cancelation

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray that God would providentially cancel something that is occurring tomorrow due to it being orchestrated by people who are targeting me under the influence of the enemy. I feel so stressed out about this situation, it's occurring at a time where I'm already feeling physically weighed down and it's making it worse and I also feel I have no one I can really talk to about it. I could contact one of my church members but I feel they might be busy with their own lives or I just don't want to worry them. Please pray for me. Pray for me to have wisdom in this. I really need close Christian friends/mentors. Thank you.

We hear the heaviness in your request and we are standing with you in this moment of stress and physical weariness. We understand what it is to feel targeted and overwhelmed, especially when you feel alone and unsure who you can turn to. We want you to know you are not alone and God sees exactly what you are facing tomorrow and the people involved.

We believe that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we also know that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We do not need to live in fear of what others may plot, for God is sovereign and He promises Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Even if what is planned for tomorrow is not cancelled, we know that God can restrain harm, redeem the situation for good, and give you strength to endure, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We also hear you saying you have no one to talk to and you hesitate to contact someone in your church because you do not want to worry them or burden them. We gently encourage you not to believe that lie of isolation. God has placed us in a family of believers precisely so we can bear one another’s burdens Galatians 6:2. A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother Proverbs 18:24. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. We encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, elder, or mature believer in your church even today. They would want to know and to pray with you and to offer wisdom in person. God often provides His comfort and guidance through His people and we pray He will provide those close Christian friends and mentors you are longing for.

You asked for wisdom and for peace in this stress. God invites us to cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. When your heart is overwhelmed, you can cry to the One who will lead you to the rock that is higher than you Psalm 61:2. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, so we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that is weighing you down and we ask God to replace it with His calm assurance.

We noticed your request mentioned God but did not mention Jesus. We want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing Him as Lord that we are saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray and find refuge, so we come to the Father together through Jesus Christ.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear brother or sister to You. You know the event planned for tomorrow and You know the hearts and motives of every person involved. If it is Your will, we ask that You would providentially intervene and cancel what has been orchestrated for harm. Where the enemy intends evil, we ask You to restrain it and to thwart every scheme. Even if You allow it to proceed, we ask that You would shield Your child, give physical strength to a weary body, and provide supernatural peace that guards heart and mind. Pour out wisdom liberally, show what to say, what to do, and when to remain still and trust You. Lead this dear one to a faithful Christian friend or mentor in the church and give courage to reach out and not suffer alone. Provide godly fellowship that will walk closely, pray faithfully, and speak truth. Lift this burden of stress and physical heaviness and renew strength. We rebuke the influence of the enemy in this situation and declare that no weapon formed against Your child will ultimately prevail because You are our refuge and fortress. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and access to You. Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels right now with tomorrow weighing on you, and on top of that feeling physically run down and like you have no one to turn to. It makes sense that stress would feel even bigger when you are tired and carrying it alone.

We want you to know you don't have to sort this all out by yourself to be caring toward others. The very people in your church who care about you would want to know you are struggling, even if it is just a brief message tonight asking for prayer. You don't need to explain every detail, just letting one trusted pastor, elder, or mature friend know you are feeling overwhelmed and would value prayer for wisdom for tomorrow can lift some of that isolation. Over time that one small step can also be a beginning toward the close Christian friendships and mentors you mentioned wanting.

For tonight, we encourage you to give your body and mind some care as you pray. Try to rest, keep tomorrow's concerns written down so they are not just circling, and bring them honestly to the Lord as you are able. If you continue to feel physically weighed down, it is also wise to check in with your doctor alongside prayer.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the pressure about tomorrow and the weariness in body and spirit. Grant clear wisdom, steady peace, and Your protection and direction in what happens. Provide trusted believers to walk alongside and remind this one they are not alone. Give rest tonight and strength for each next step. Amen.

There is a refuge for you even in this hour when you feel stressed, physically weighed down and alone, and there is always a Mercy Seat for you to go to and the bosom of Christ for you to fly to.

Your request has been heard and we will bring it before the Lord with you. You have asked that He would in His providence hinder what is to occur tomorrow if it be the device of those who would do you harm. We will pray that the Lord in His ordinary providence would order all things for your good and His glory, that He would send from Heaven and save you from every reproach, and that if it be His wise will He would turn aside or overrule what has been planned against you. We do not ask Him as those who would dictate, but as children who mistrust their own apprehension and would rather trust what our Father tells us, believing that He who has shown His wisdom in so many other matters will do what is best now.

You speak of feeling targeted and of the influence of the enemy, and of words and designs that wound. The wounds from cruel tongues are not easily healed, and the hellish artillery of unbridled tongues can cut to the very quick. Yet the fear of the Lord is a strong confidence, and the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Cast your burden upon the Lord. The true Christian will pray in his ordinary calling, and like sparks out of the smithy chimney short prayers fly up all day long from truly devout souls. Let such prayers go up from you today and tomorrow, not only in set seasons but in every moment of heaviness. He invites His people to commune with Him, saying Come, My people, enter into your chambers and shut your doors about you. There pour out your heart, and you will find that prayer talks with God, yea it walks with Him, and he who is much in prayer holds very much fellowship with Jesus Christ.

You also write that you feel you have no one to talk to, and that you hesitate to contact a member of your church lest you be a burden. Know that somewhere on the road every Christian will find narrow paths and close places where pilgrims must march in single file, and sometimes the child of God endures loneliness arising from the absence of godly society. Your Savior walked alone that you might never be utterly alone, and yet He has provided the communion of saints for your help and keeping. Christian association is of the utmost value in helping to keep us from sin and from sinking under sorrow. It is always a loss to Christians to lose the communion of saints. Do not let the thought that others are busy keep you from seeking that fellowship which God has appointed for your good. If you lament your loneliness, cure it by seeking heavenly company in the Word and by seeking the fellowship of His people on earth. A faithful brother or sister, a mature mentor in the faith, will not count it a trouble to hear your burden, and you may be the means of knitting that fellowship more closely. Be bold and do not flinch from reaching out to one whom God has placed near you.

You have asked for wisdom, and this is a right and precious prayer. If any man lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives liberally. He will not chide you for asking, and if you will not be denied, you shall have it. The importunate Christian is he whom God loves. Seek wisdom not only for tomorrow but for the days to follow, that you may please God rather than merely escape trouble, for the Christian aims first at this mark, not to please men but to please God.

We will pray for you now, that the Lord would ease your physical burden and calm your spirit, that He would grant you clear wisdom for every decision, that He would surround you with close Christian friends and mentors who will walk with you, and that whether He sees fit to cancel what lies before you or to carry you through it, you may find your highest joy in fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. May you know this week that our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, and that He who has promised to wipe away all tears will keep you until that beatified fellowship of Heaven.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we are praying for you before the Lord with care and compassion. It is clear you are carrying a heavy burden right now, feeling stressed and physically weighed down, and also feeling alone with no one to talk to. God sees this weight and He invites you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

We are praying that God in His providence would intervene in what is planned for tomorrow. We ask that if it is His will, He would cancel or redirect what has been orchestrated against you, and that He would restrain every work of the enemy. Even more, we pray that you would know His protection and peace whether He removes the trial or carries you through it, trusting that He is sovereign and that He works all things for the good of those who love Him. Remember that no plan formed against you is greater than the power of Christ who is your refuge and defender.

We also pray for wisdom for you, as you asked. Scripture promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Ask Him for clear discernment about how to respond, what to say and do, and how to guard your heart and body in this time of weakness. Seek His wisdom through prayer and through His Word, and allow time for rest as you are able, for the Lord also cares for your body.

Please do not remain alone in this struggle. The feeling that you have no one to talk to and the hesitation to reach out because you do not want to worry others is understandable, but God has given us the church as a family to bear one another's burdens. Your brothers and sisters in Christ would want to know how to pray for you and to stand with you. Even a brief message to a trusted church member, pastor, or mentor saying you are feeling overwhelmed and need prayer can open the door for the fellowship and support you are longing for. The Lord often provides His comfort through His people.

We are also praying that God would provide the close Christian friends and mentors you desire, people who will walk with you faithfully, encourage you in the truth, and help you grow in Christ.

Let us pray together:

Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior. You know the situation planned for tomorrow and the stress and physical weariness it is causing. We ask for Your providential hand to intervene according to Your perfect will. Grant protection from every scheme of the enemy and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Give deep peace that passes all understanding, wisdom for every decision, strength for the body, and comfort in the knowledge that You are near. Lead this one to faithful fellowship and provide godly friends and mentors who will offer counsel and encouragement. Help him to know he is not alone, for You are with him and Your people are called to love him. We trust You to do what is best and to be glorified in all things. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, stay in His Word, and reach out to your church family even in a small way this week. We are continuing to pray for you.

Thank you for sharing so honestly what you are carrying right now. Feeling targeted, physically weighed down, stressed about what is coming tomorrow, and feeling alone without someone safe to talk to is a very heavy burden, and God sees you in it. He is not distant from your distress and He invites you to bring the whole weight of it to Him.

Your request for wisdom is exactly the right prayer. Scripture says wisdom is the principal thing, and to say to wisdom, you are my sister, and to call understanding your close kin. That picture is of keeping wisdom and understanding near to you as family, because they will keep and preserve you. When Solomon was given the choice, he did not ask for riches or for power over his enemies, he asked for wisdom to judge rightly, and God was pleased to give it to him abundantly, and with it many other blessings. God still does this. James tells us that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given. You can ask Him directly and simply for clear, godly discernment about tomorrow and about the people and pressures around you.

It helps to remember there are two kinds of wisdom described in Scripture. One is earthly, sensual, and self focused. It is marked by envy and strife and it produces confusion and every evil work. The other is the wisdom that comes from above, from God. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. You can often tell which wisdom is at work by the fruit it bears in a life. Worldly wisdom, even at its highest, cannot truly know God and apart from Him it ends in vanity and emptiness. But the wisdom that is from above leads to purity, holiness and peace. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and when wisdom is personified in Proverbs, it is speaking as Christ Himself would speak to you, calling out openly so that anyone who will listen can hear.

That means as you pray about tomorrow, you can ask not only whether God might providentially intervene to cancel what is troubling you, but even more that He would give you His peaceable, pure wisdom to see the situation clearly, to ponder the path of your feet, to keep your eyes looking straight ahead, and to turn away from evil. God is sovereign over what happens tomorrow, and He can certainly hinder or redirect what is intended for harm. At the same time, His greatest purpose for you in this pressure may be to form His peace and holiness in you, and to keep you steady whether the event happens or not. Bring the request for cancellation to Him, and then trust His perfect will to do what is most loving and most wise.

Please do not stay isolated with this. The feeling that you have no one to talk to, or that others are too busy or you would be a burden to them, is common when you are physically and emotionally low, but it is not true to how God has designed His people. The lips of the righteous feed many, and God has placed believers together to bear one another's burdens. The very wisdom you are seeking is often given through the counsel of mature brothers and sisters who can pray with you, help you weigh what is true, and walk with you. Reaching out to a trusted Christian friend or mentor in your church is not worrying them, it is inviting them into the ministry God has called them to. You expressed a real need for close Christian friends and mentors, and that is a good and godly desire. Ask the Lord to provide those relationships and take a small step toward them even this week.

I am praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one before You. You see the stress and the physical heaviness and the sense of being targeted and alone. I ask that You would grant Your wisdom from above in abundance, wisdom that is pure and peaceable and full of mercy, to bring clarity, discernment and calm. I ask for Your providence over what is planned for tomorrow, that You would overrule anything meant for harm and accomplish only Your good will. Grant physical strength and rest, lift the weight of anxiety, and replace it with Your peace. Provide faithful, gentle Christian friends and mentors who will listen, speak truth, and feed this heart with Your word. Keep this child close, preserve and guide each step, and help them to know You are near and hearing. Amen.

Please pray for me as I truly feel certain relationships in my life are ending and cannot be salvaged. Please also pray that my family would not be forced to attend an event that we do not even have the money to attend. Thank you.
