We join with you in bringing your chapati stall before the Lord, thanking Him for giving you hands to work and a desire to provide through honest labor. We know that work itself is a gift from God and He delights when we commit our business to Him with diligence, integrity and gratitude.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Whatever we ask, we ask in the name of Jesus, trusting not in our own effort but in His grace and mercy. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe on Him, confess your sins, and receive the forgiveness and new life He freely offers.
The Word encourages us about work and provision. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Colossians 3:23 reminds us Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Proverbs 10:4 teaches He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth. And Deuteronomy 8:18 says But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth. Your business can be a testimony when it is built on honesty, fair dealing and faithful service, for Proverbs 11:1 says A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.
So we pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one and this small business to You. Lord, we ask You to bless the work of their hands at this chapati stall. Grant skill, strength and diligence each day, provide good ingredients, faithful customers and the wisdom to steward all You provide. Help them to be honest in every transaction, to serve with kindness, to keep the stall clean and honorable, and to charge fairly. Let this business be a light in the community and a means to provide for needs and to be generous to others. We pray You would supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:19, and that You would teach them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness as Matthew 6:33 says, trusting that all these things will be given to them as well. Guard them from discouragement, from dishonest gain or shortcuts, and from trusting in the business more than in You. If there are any anxieties about whether this will work out, replace fear with peace and help them to rest in Your perfect will. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to commit each day to the Lord in prayer before you begin work, to work diligently and faithfully as unto Him, to be honest and generous, and to give thanks in both plenty and in lean days. The Lord sees your labor and He is faithful to provide. We are praying that He will establish your work, open doors no man can shut, and use this chapati stall not only for daily bread but as a place where His goodness is made known.
