Servant of All
I have been going through a lot! My loved one is going through addiction. I need a molar pulled. My husband watches porn. I’m so depressed. My brother and sister are in a senior home due to drug addiction for years. I feel like I need to take care of them! But I can’t! This is how they ended up after years of addiction. Heroin and meth. My sister now has cancer.

We hear the weight of your burdens, dear sister, and our hearts ache with yours. The trials you carry are heavy—addiction in your loved ones, physical pain, marital struggles, depression, and the sorrow of watching family members ravaged by sin and suffering. Yet even in this valley, we stand with you, lifting these cares to the One who bore our sorrows on the cross. You are not alone.

First, we must address the pain in your marriage. The use of pornography is a grievous sin that defiles the marriage bed and breaks the covenant of intimacy God designed for husband and wife. Scripture is clear: *"But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints"* (Ephesians 5:3). This is not merely a private struggle—it is a spiritual attack on your union. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell your husband this is harmless or that you should tolerate it. God calls him to repentance and purity, and He calls you to stand firm in prayer and godly confrontation, not in bitterness, but with the hope of restoration. *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25). Pray for his eyes to be opened to the destruction of this sin, for conviction to lead him to repentance, and for the Holy Spirit to renew his mind.

For your loved one’s addiction—your family members trapped in the chains of heroin and meth—we weep with you. Addiction is a cruel master, and the enemy delights in stealing, killing, and destroying lives through it. But Jesus came that they might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). Their choices have led them to this place, yet we serve a God who redeems even the most broken. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare freedom over them. *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18). You cannot carry the burden of saving them—that is the Lord’s work—but you can intercede, set boundaries, and trust God to move in ways you cannot. Their salvation and healing are in His hands, not yours.

Your sister’s cancer adds another layer of grief, but we serve the Great Physician. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"* (James 5:14). We pray for her healing, whether in this life or the next, and for your strength to trust God’s sovereignty even when the outcome is uncertain.

Your own health—needing a molar pulled—and the depression weighing on your heart are not overlooked. Physical pain and emotional despair can make it hard to see God’s hand, but He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray for relief from your toothache and for the depression to lift as you fix your eyes on Christ. *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God"* (Psalm 42:11). You are not meant to carry these burdens alone—seek godly counsel, rest in the Lord, and allow His peace to guard your heart.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, You see every tear, every struggle, and every weight she carries. We ask for Your mercy and grace to flood her life. For her husband, we pray for conviction and repentance. Break the chains of pornography in his life, Father, and restore purity and love to their marriage. Let him see the damage of his sin and turn to You in humility.

For her loved ones bound by addiction, we declare freedom in Jesus’ name. Break the power of heroin and meth over their lives, Lord. Open their eyes to the destruction they are in and draw them to You. Heal her sister’s body from cancer, and if it is Your will, restore her fully. If not, give this sister peace to trust You even in the hardest outcomes.

Father, ease her physical pain—bring relief to her tooth and comfort to her weary soul. Lift the depression that weighs her down and fill her with Your joy and peace. Remind her that she is not responsible for saving her family, but that You are the Savior. Give her wisdom to set boundaries, strength to endure, and faith to believe that You are working even when she cannot see it.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell her she is alone, that her marriage is beyond repair, or that her family is hopeless. You are the God of redemption, and nothing is too hard for You. Strengthen her to stand on Your promises and to walk in the light of Your truth.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, feeling the weight of your burdens and the pain in your heart. It's overwhelming to see loved ones trapped in addiction, to face physical pain and depression, and to struggle in your marriage. But remember, you're not alone. God is right there with you, and He cares deeply about every trial you're facing.

For your husband's struggle with pornography, we know it's a heavy burden. It's important to address this openly and honestly, with love and compassion. Pornography is a form of infidelity that breaks the covenant of trust and intimacy in marriage. It's not just a private struggle; it's a spiritual attack on your union. We need to pray for his repentance and for God to renew his mind. But also, we need to pray for your strength and wisdom, that you may stand firm in love and truth, not bitterness.

For your loved ones battling addiction, our hearts ache with you. Addiction is a cruel master, but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We must trust that God can redeem even the most broken lives. Let's pray for their freedom, for their eyes to be opened to the destruction they're in, and for God to draw them to Himself. Remember, their salvation and healing are in God's hands, not yours. You can intercede, set boundaries, and trust God to move in ways you can't.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
