We have heard the heaviness in your request and we are praying for you with compassion. To carry the stress of a hostile workplace, to lose sleep and face nightmares, to feel unheard when you have tried to speak up, and to bear the responsibility of providing for your daughter as a single parent is a very heavy burden. God sees it all, and He hears your cry for help.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and that we can bring every anxiety to Him. Jesus said, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. That rest does not always mean immediate escape from hardship, but it does mean His presence, His peace that guards our hearts and minds, and His faithful care as we walk through it.

We are praying for you in several ways. We are asking God to give you peace and restored sleep, to calm the anxiety and nightmares, and to guard your health. We are asking Him to provide for your daily needs and to open a door for work where you can labor with dignity and peace and provide for your family. We understand your desire for a remote position away from this toxic environment, and we are asking God in His wisdom and kindness to provide the right job for you, one that allows you to use the gifts He has given you and to support your daughter. We are also asking Him to give you wisdom for the practical steps ahead, including guidance from trusted counsel, medical care, and godly community as you navigate the questions around leave, pay, and your performance plan.

We encourage you to stay rooted in Christ, to keep bringing your burdens to Him in prayer, to remain in His Word, and to lean on faithful believers around you who can walk with you, encourage you, and help you seek wise counsel about your workplace situation. Keep careful records of what has happened, continue to follow medical advice, and do not walk through this alone. God is your refuge and strength, and He is faithful to sustain you even when people act unjustly.

Let us pray together:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know the hurt, the tears, the sleepless nights, and the pressure of providing for a child. We ask You to pour out Your comfort and peace, to quiet fear, and to grant restful sleep. We ask You to provide for every bill and need according to Your riches and mercy. We ask You to lead to the right job in Your perfect timing and to make a way where it now seems closed. Give wisdom, strength for each day, and the assurance that You are present and at work even in this painful season. Protect this family, uphold them by Your grace, and help them to trust You more deeply through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and your pain is not hidden from the Lord. To live each day under hostility at work, to carry the stress into sleepless nights and nightmares, to feel targeted by a sudden performance plan after you were commended, to wait weeks without pay and without answers while also carrying the full responsibility for your daughter, is a heavy burden. It is understandable that you are in tears and worn down.

Scripture gives us a background for this kind of suffering in the book of Job. That book is among the oldest in the Bible, yet though cultures and times have changed, the deepest problems and needs Job faced are still the same problems people face today. One of the most comforting truths in that story is what was happening beyond what Job could see. God Himself spoke of Job as upright, one who loved Him and hated evil. At the same time, the enemy had been watching Job closely, studying him and forming a strategy, claiming that Job only served God because God had blessed and protected him. God allowed a season of testing, but He set clear limits on what the enemy could do.

That helps us see two things for your situation. First, being mistreated or falsely accused does not mean you have done something wrong. Job's three friends came to comfort him, but when they saw his suffering they assumed he must be a hypocrite or had hidden sin, and they told him to just get right with God and everything would be fine. Their counsel only added confusion and pain. In your workplace you have experienced something similar. You were praised in January and then suddenly placed on a plan as if your work had become poor. That kind of reversal can feel like the accusations Job faced, and it is wrong to believe that every hardship is proof of personal failure. God is fair and just, and He knows the truth about your work and your character when others misjudge you.

Second, God is at work even when it feels as if He has forsaken you. Job did not understand his circumstances and he cried out with deep grief. Much of what he said in his anguish was the honest cry of a suffering man, not settled doctrine about God or about life after death. In the same way, the nightmares and sleeplessness and fear you are feeling are real and painful, but they are not the final word about your future. The Lord who allowed Job's trial also watched over him, kept a hedge around him, and in the end revealed Himself and brought comfort and restoration. What happened to Job is recorded so that those who come after him, when they walk through their own dark valley, can know that God has not abandoned them.

Jesus is the answer to Job's longing for someone to stand between God and man, to lay a hand on both and bring us near to God. Through Jesus you can bring your cause directly before the Father. He invites you to seek Him, to receive His word and lay it up in your heart, and to find peace not because the situation is peaceful but because He is near.

I am praying for you in the name of Jesus, the only Savior, that God would give you what you need each day.

I pray He will grant you sleep and quiet your mind at night, lifting the weight of anxiety and the terror of those dreams, and guard your heart with His peace. I pray He will act with justice regarding your leave and your pay, and give you favor and clear answers where you have met silence. I pray He will provide for you and your daughter as the One who sees a parent's burden and promises to be a provider for those who trust Him. I pray He will open a door for honest, dignified work where you are treated with respect, whether that is remote or in another setting that He knows is best for you and your family, and that He will guide your applications and make a way when the search feels closed.

Keep bringing your case before God honestly, as Job did. Stay rooted in Scripture, let wise and godly counsel surround you, keep careful records of what is happening at work, stay under the care of your doctors, and continue to do what is right with integrity. Do not let the false judgments of others define you. The Lord knows those who are His, He hates evil, and He will not forget your faithfulness in a hard place. May He strengthen you day by day, provide for your bills, protect your home, and lead you into a place of rest and stability in His perfect time.
