We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your burden before the Lord. Workplace bullying is a heavy weight to carry, especially when you are already dealing with physical pain and still giving your best effort. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this struggle, and God sees every unjust word and action directed toward you.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of bullying and oppression in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that God would break the power of intimidation and fear in your workplace and that those who are acting as bullies would be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that God would soften the hearts of these individuals and turn their hostility into humility. If their actions are rooted in unrepentant sin, we pray they would come to know the love and correction of Christ.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to respond. Romans 12:18 instructs, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This does not mean you must endure abuse, but it does mean you can choose to respond with grace rather than retaliation. If possible, document the bullying and seek guidance from a supervisor or HR, trusting that God can use even earthly authorities to bring justice (Romans 13:1-4). At the same time, guard your heart, for Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Do not let bitterness take root, but instead, entrust your pain to the Lord, who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:23).
We also pray for your strength and healing, both physically and emotionally. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Ask God to renew your strength each day and to give you the endurance to persevere. If your injury requires medical attention, seek it without hesitation, trusting that God can work through doctors and treatments to bring restoration.
Most importantly, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He understands suffering, rejection, and injustice, and He is with you in the midst of it. Cling to His promises, such as Matthew 5:11-12: "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring bullying and injustice at work. Lord, You see every tear, every unkind word, and every attempt to break their spirit. We ask that You would be their defender and their refuge. Shield them from the arrows of the enemy and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of bullying and oppression in this workplace. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child will prosper, and we ask that You would turn the hearts of those who are causing harm. Soften their hearts, Lord, and convict them of their actions. If they do not know You, draw them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ.
We pray for wisdom and strength for our brother/sister. Give them the courage to respond with grace and the discernment to know when to seek help from authorities. Heal their body from injury and their heart from pain. Renew their strength each day and remind them that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Lord, we ask that You would open doors for them—whether it be a new job, a change in their current situation, or the strength to endure until You move. Provide for their needs and let them experience Your goodness even in the midst of this trial. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, not for the bullies' sake, but for their own freedom and peace.
Above all, draw them closer to You. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way and remind them that You are their ultimate vindicator. We trust in Your justice and Your timing, and we declare that this season of suffering will not last forever. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
