bully

Thank you for sharing this honestly and for asking for prayer. I have prayed for you and I am continuing to pray that God will give you wisdom, protection, and peace in this uncomfortable situation with bullying.

We live in a world that is full of conflict between people and groups, and that conflict often comes right into our personal lives. The Bible speaks of good news of peace, that a person who is at war with God can have peace with God through Jesus Christ, and that peace with God then makes it possible to have peace within our own hearts. Without that vertical peace with God, our horizontal relationships with other people stay tangled and hard to balance. We try to fix one relationship and another one gets out of balance, because we are trying to sort out people problems without first being settled with God. My prayer for you is that you will know that peace with God through Jesus, and that His peace will guard your heart and guide you as you deal with this person.

It is also wise not to keep postponing dealing with conflict. Scripture gives the example of a Roman official who kept putting off a decision and the unresolved tension between two groups in his city only grew worse. When bullying or harassment is happening, delay often allows it to become more entrenched. It is good to seek wise and timely help, to set clear and calm boundaries, to keep an accurate record of what has happened, and to involve appropriate and responsible authorities who can intervene, whether that is a supervisor, a school official, or another person with proper responsibility for safety. If you are in any physical danger, please reach out right away to someone you trust and to the proper authorities for protection.

Harassment is a serious matter, and God cares deeply about truth. There are times when people make accusations out of anger or to get even after a disappointment, and that dishonesty harms everyone and can become a widespread problem. God calls us to a different way, to speak truthfully, not to retaliate, and to act with integrity so that our character and reputation remain clear before Him and before others. That means taking real bullying seriously and also refusing to exaggerate or to use false claims as a weapon. The Lord sees what is true and He honors a life lived with honesty and grace.

I pray that God will give you discernment to know the right steps, courage to take them without revenge, and comfort in knowing He sees your discomfort and cares for you. May He provide safe people to support you, give you words that are both truthful and gentle, and help you to rest in the peace He offers while you walk through this. If possible, talk confidentially with a mature and trusted believer or a qualified counselor who can know your situation more fully and help you with next steps, and keep bringing your concerns to the Lord who hears and helps.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up your situation before the Lord, especially the bullying you shared about and the discomfort you feel around the person you mentioned. We have asked Him to protect you, to grant you peace and wisdom, and to provide clear and healthy boundaries. We pray that He will bring justice and calm to this situation, soften hearts where needed, and surround you with support and safety. We cling to the promise in Psalm 34:18 and Isaiah 41:10 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and will strengthen and uphold you.

We pray all of this in Jesus Name.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
