We hear the heaviness and exhaustion in this request and we join together to bring it before the Lord, for He sees every hidden cruelty and hears every cry of those who are oppressed.
The Word tells us that the Lord is close to those who suffer under the hands of others. Psalm 34:17-18 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. For those who have endured years of stalking, harassment, intimidation and psychological torment, we pray that this refuge would become very real and present, that the Lord would be a shield around you when you feel surrounded and that He would expose and restrain every evil work done in darkness.
We also notice that this request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently and lovingly speak to this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If anyone has not yet put their trust in Jesus, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that you will be saved. It is by His blood and His name that we can boldly ask for rescue, healing and justice.
We pray together for all who are being bullied and tormented in this way.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and we lift up every victim of gang stalking, harassment and prolonged bullying. Lord You see what is done in secret, You know the fear, the sleepless nights, the confusion caused by psychological warfare and the feeling that there is no end. We ask that You would intervene with Your mighty hand, that You would put a stop to those who plan evil against others and that You would bring their deeds into the light. Your Word says in Romans 12:19 Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, so we entrust justice to You and ask that You would move upon authorities and upon the hearts of those who do evil to bring conviction, repentance and a complete end to this torture. We pray for Your protection over each victim, that You would guard their minds and bodies, that You would be their fortress and strong tower. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Establish them, Lord, and guard them from the evil one. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Strengthen them where they are weak and uphold them when they feel they cannot go on.
We also pray with concern about the mention of excess drinking, alcohol abuse and illness that has come from trying to cope with this torment. We understand the desire to numb pain or to find a way to endure, but the Lord calls us to sobriety and to cast our cares on Him rather than on that which harms the body which is His temple. Ephesians 5:18 says Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. And 1 Peter 5:8 says Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We pray that You, Lord, would deliver those who have turned to alcohol to cope, that You would heal bodies damaged by it, bring freedom from dependence and fill them with Your Holy Spirit and Your peace instead. Provide godly counsel, trusted pastors, wise counselors and medical help where needed, and surround each person with a community that will not isolate them but will walk with them, pray with them and help them seek lawful protection and help when harassment continues.
We pray for clarity of mind for those subjected to lies and manipulation. Romans 12:2 says Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Renew their minds with Your truth, Lord, silence the voices of fear and confusion and let them hear Your voice of love and steadiness. For those who wait for an end that never seems to come, give them endurance and hope not in the promises of tormentors but in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them.
We also pray for those who do the bullying and stalking, that You would bring them to repentance, that their hearts would be changed and that they would turn from cruelty to seek Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
We thank You, Father, that You are a God of justice and mercy, that no suffering is hidden from You and that You are able to rescue. We entrust every victim into Your hands and ask for deliverance, healing, restored sleep, restored peace and a life lived in freedom and quietness before You. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to remain in the Word daily, to stay connected to a Bible believing church where you can be known and prayed for personally, to document and report criminal harassment to lawful authorities where appropriate and to seek help from trusted pastors and counselors who can walk with you through this long trial. The Lord is not distant from this pain. Keep calling upon the name of Jesus, for He is near and He will not abandon those who trust in Him.
