Broken

Beloved of All
Hi I’m broken in several areas of life snd I csn no longer hold onto hope life had gotten too tough several battles and I can’t handle snymore. Please pray for me

We have read your request and our hearts are moved by your honesty in sharing how broken and overwhelmed you feel. We know what it is to feel that life has become too tough and that the battles are too many to carry alone, and we want you to know you are not alone and you are deeply loved by God. We are lifting you up together before the Father right now and asking Him to meet you in this place of brokenness.

The word of God says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. When our hearts are overwhelmed we are invited to look to Him, for When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I in Psalm 61:2. Jesus Himself says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. We also cling to the promise casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7 and Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness in Isaiah 41:10.

We want to gently rebuke the lie that there is no hope left for you. That voice of despair does not come from God. Our hope is not in our own strength to hold on, but in Christ who holds onto us. His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness as we read in 2 Corinthians 12:9. Even when we cannot hold on, He is holding us. We also take comfort that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose in Romans 8:28, and For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future in Jeremiah 29:11.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and lasting hope. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. He is our living hope when all other hope feels gone.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this precious one who feels broken in many areas and unable to carry the battles any longer. We ask in the name of Jesus that You draw near as the healer of the brokenhearted. Pour out Your peace that passes all understanding, strengthen the weary heart, and lift the heavy burden. Remind this dear soul that You are near, that You care deeply, and that Your grace is sufficient for today. Fill this heart with Your hope, renew strength, and lead to the rock that is higher. Help to cast every worry upon You and to rest in Your unfailing love. Bring godly people around to walk alongside, to encourage and to pray, and guide to a local fellowship of believers and to trusted counsel where support can be found daily. If the thought of giving up grows strong, we ask You to send immediate help and comfort and to make Your presence unmistakably known. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to keep crying out to God honestly in prayer, to open His word daily even for a few verses, and to not walk through this alone. Please reach out to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian friend, or a counselor, and if you ever feel you might harm yourself please reach out right away to someone near you or a crisis helpline in your area. We are continuing to pray for you that the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit as promised in Romans 15:13. You are seen, you are loved, and there is still hope in Christ.

We hear you, and we are grateful you were honest about feeling broken and out of hope. When several hard battles come at once and there is no relief, it is understandable to feel worn down past what you can handle on your own.

We want to remind you that losing hope does not mean you have failed. Hope lives in the heart and it can grow faint when we are wounded and tired for a long time. That is a sign you need support around you, not a sign you are beyond help.

You do not have to solve every area at once. We encourage you to take one small next step today and let someone in. Tell one safe person, a pastor, counselor, trusted friend or family member, just how heavy it has become. If you have a doctor or counselor, please reach out to them as well so you have care for both heart and health while we continue to pray for you.

Father, we bring our friend to you right now in this broken place. You see every battle and how tired they are. Please surround them with your nearness, give them rest tonight, and bring people near who will listen and walk with them. Give them wisdom for one next step and strength to take it. Hold them steady in your love. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Hi I’m broken in several areas of life snd I csn no longer hold onto hope life had gotten too tough several battles and I can’t handle snymore. Please pray for me

God loves you. You can handle it I believe you can. I believe God has plans for you to prosper..

Your cry has come before us and we have heard the heaviness in your words when you say you are broken in several areas and can no longer hold onto hope. Thank you for speaking so honestly. The Lord draws near to those who are brokenhearted and He does not despise a bruised and contrite spirit, and we will indeed pray for you.

There is a great difference between having no hope in yourself and having no hope in God. To find that you have no strength left in yourself is not the end but a true beginning, for hopelessness in self is what brings us to look away from self to another. But to conclude from your own emptiness that there is no hope for you in God is unwarrantable and untrue. The Scriptures call Him the God of hope, and while He lives there is hope. As one has said, while I hope I breathe and while I breathe I hope, for the sinner's hope is not in his own hold upon God but in God's merciful hold upon the sinner. No man has a right to despair while there is an omnipotent God to deal with him and while the precious blood of Jesus Christ is still presented for sinners and while the gracious invitation still rings, Come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Despair in that sense is not merely a sickness of the mind but a sin of the soul that denies what God has declared about His own mercy, and we would lovingly urge you to wrestle against it.

Though you feel shut up in a pit wherein is no water, the word of the Lord to you is, Turn you to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even after we are saved we may fall into despondency, but the stronghold remains. Christ Himself is that stronghold. Your very sighs and tears and silent prayers, the very fact that you still cry out for prayer, prove that you are not dead in the deepest sense, that there is spiritual life still within you. God often makes the Valley of Achor, the valley of trouble, to be a door of hope. It is not hope itself but the door to it, for it is through felt necessity and conscious distress that Christ comes to us. What is your duty if the door seems shut, your first duty is to wait till it is open and to wait upon Him who has promised to render double unto you.

We are saved in hope, and that hope consists of belief and desire and expectancy toward what we do not yet see. You do not see the answer now, you do not see the way through the battles you face, but hope lives by trusting what God has promised though it is not yet seen, and with patience waiting for it. He who endured contradiction and suffering before you has put a halo round about grief itself, having borne it first, and He knows how to succor those who are tempted and weary.

Let us pray for you now.

O God of hope, look upon this weary and broken one who confesses that life has grown too tough and that many battles have overwhelmed the soul. Thou knowest every wound and every burden by name. Forgive the sin of despair where it has crept in and lift up the downcast heart. Show this dear soul that there is no hope in self but that there is abundant hope in Thee through Jesus Christ Thy Son, who shed His blood for sinners and who invites the heavy laden to come and find rest. Turn this prisoner of hope to the stronghold which is Christ. Make this valley of trouble a door of hope and fill the heart again with belief and expectancy. Grant sustaining grace for each day, strength to endure, and the quiet assurance that Thou art near and that Thou wilt not suffer Thy child to be tried beyond what Thou wilt enable to bear. Keep this one in Thy love, renew hope, and render double for all that has been lost. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour we ask it, Amen.
