The crowds knew that Jesus' acts of compassion were not to draw attention to himself, but to bring praise to God. He lived his life to bring honor, glory, and praise to his Father. Just as Jesus lived to glorify God, we too are put here to bring God glory. If not only our best achievements but also our everyday lives mean that our Father is praised, then we have succeeded in life!
Father, may all things that I do and the way that I live each day bring you honor and praise. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
