We lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for you as you face this frightening diagnosis. The fear and uncertainty you must be feeling are real, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your prayers, and holds your future in His hands. We join with you in crying out to Him, believing in His power to heal and restore.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our sister in Christ. Touch her body, Lord, and command every cell to align with Your perfect design. If there is any malignancy, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare that it has no place in her body. Let the biopsy reveal only benign tissue, Lord, and let her receive a report of Your miraculous healing. We speak life over her lymph nodes and every part of her body that has been affected, believing that You are restoring her to full health.
We also pray for peace to flood her heart and mind. The enemy may try to fill her with fear and anxiety, but we declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in Your promises even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s Word during this time. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His healing power and faithfulness. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." Claim this promise over your life, knowing that healing was provided for you through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Stand on the truth that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and trust that He is working even now on your behalf.
We also want to gently encourage you to prepare your heart for whatever outcome the Lord allows. While we pray and believe for a benign diagnosis, we know that God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). If the news is not what we hope for, we ask that You, Lord, would walk with her through every step of treatment, giving her strength, courage, and hope. Let her experience Your presence in a tangible way, and use this trial to draw her closer to You.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold of you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every spirit of infirmity to flee in the name of Jesus, and we declare that you are covered by the blood of Christ. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with you for complete healing and restoration.
We will continue to lift you up in prayer, believing that God is moving on your behalf. Keep us updated on how we can pray for you more specifically, and know that we are standing with you in faith. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
