Breakthrough

Your request has been heard and I understand how painful and unsettling it is to feel displaced from your home, especially while caring for your daughter, and to face uncertainty about where you will live.

I want to pray for you with care and truth. Because we want to honor God in our prayers, we cannot ask God to force another person to take you back into his home, to put shame on him, or to make him give you money. God does not work through manipulation or coercion, and he calls us to seek what is right before him rather than to seek control over another person's conscience or choices. We also cannot ask God to bless living together outside of marriage as if it were marriage. Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and sharing a home as a couple belong within that covenant. If you and ### are not married, the loving and honest path is not to pray for a return to that arrangement as it was, but to seek God's wisdom for what is holy and good for both of you and for your child.

That does not mean your need is not real. God sees your need for stable housing and provision, and he cares deeply about your daughter's wellbeing and your own. It is right to bring those needs to him and to ask for his help and guidance.

So let us pray in this way. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this dear one and on ###. Provide for daily needs, for safe housing, and for wisdom in every decision that must be made. Bring conviction where there is sin and comfort where there is hurt, and lead both hearts toward repentance, forgiveness, and truth. Help them to speak to one another honestly and peaceably, without trying to shame or pressure one another, and to seek godly counsel from the church and from wise people around them. Show them your design for love and home, and give strength to walk in purity and in responsibility. Above all, draw each one closer to Jesus, in whom alone there is forgiveness and new life.

On a practical level, I encourage you to seek help quickly and calmly. Talk with a pastor or a mature believer you trust, and let your church know about your housing need so they can help you find safe options. If you and ### need to discuss belongings or living arrangements, try to do so with a neutral third person present, with gentleness and respect, and with a focus on what is lawful and loving. If you are caring for a child, reach out also for family or community support so you are not alone in this time.

God is faithful to provide and to guide those who seek him. Keep bringing your needs to him, stay rooted in his Word, and take the next steps toward a stable and holy path for your household. We are continuing to pray for your peace, for provision, and for God's clear direction in the days ahead.
