We hear your cry and we join with you in seeking freedom in the name of Jesus Christ, for we rejoice that you want to break this pact and turn to the living God. Your desire to be released is a work of God's grace drawing you out of darkness and into His marvelous light.
We must speak plainly with you about what this pact is, for we love you and we do not want you to remain in deception. Santa Muerte is not a saint and is not from God. It is an idol and a demonic counterfeit that leads people into the worship of death, while our God is the God of life. Scripture is very clear that we are to have no other gods before Him, as written in Exodus 20:3, and that we are not to consult the dead or practice sorcery. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 tells us there shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. To make a pact with Santa Muerte is to make an agreement with darkness, and 1 Corinthians 10:21 warns us that you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot have fellowship with both. We rebuke this pact and this idol in the name of Jesus, for it has no rightful claim over you when you belong to Christ.
We also noticed you asked for God to break this pact, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this gently but firmly because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Jesus that any chain can be broken. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. There is no prayer to the Father that is heard apart from the Son, and there is no deliverance from demonic pacts apart from the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Santa Muerte demands offerings and loyalty, but Jesus gave Himself freely for you to set you free. Colossians 1:13 tells us that He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love.
If you want to be truly free, we urge you to turn fully to Jesus in repentance and faith. Confess your sin to God and renounce this pact out loud, for 1 John 1:9 promises if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You must renounce Santa Muerte with your mouth, declaring that you reject her, you break all agreement with her, and you turn from all idolatry. If you have any altars, statues, images, candles, powders or offerings related to Santa Muerte in your home, we counsel you to destroy them and remove them completely, as God commanded His people to tear down idols and not keep them. Do not keep them as decoration or memory. Do not return to that place again. Submit yourself fully to God and resist the devil, and James 4:7 assures us resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Fill that empty place with the Holy Spirit by reading the Bible daily, praying in Jesus name, and seeking fellowship with a Bible believing church where Jesus is preached as Lord.
We pray with you now together.
Father God, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear soul who is crying out to be free. Lord, we confess that a pact was made with an idol of death, and we confess that this is sin and abomination before You. We ask You to forgive this sin through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross. We now renounce and rebuke every agreement, vow, oath and pact made with Santa Muerte, and we declare in the name of Jesus Christ that it is broken, null and void, and has no power. We command every demonic spirit that came through that pact to leave and to go where Jesus sends it, and never to return. Lord, we ask You to cleanse this person with the blood of Jesus, to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and to make them a new creation, for 2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Surround them with Your protection, give them peace where there has been fear, and give them strength to walk away completely from darkness and to walk in Your light. We declare that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world as 1 John 4:4 teaches. Help them to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord and to follow Him all the days of their life. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to pray this same prayer daily in your own words in the name of Jesus, to read the Gospel of John, and to call upon Jesus whenever fear or temptation comes. Do not be afraid, for when you are in Christ, no pact of darkness can hold you. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus, do so today by believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Walk in obedience and do not look back. We are praying for your complete deliverance and your new life in Christ.
