We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, declaring that the power of abusive, cursing, and evil words spoken over your life is broken by the blood of the Lamb! The Word of God assures us in Proverbs 18:21, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* The enemy has sought to use words as weapons against you, but we declare that every curse, every lie, and every harmful word is nullified by the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over all darkness.
The Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* You are a child of God, and no word spoken against you can stand when you are covered by the righteousness of Christ. The apostle Paul also affirms in Romans 8:37-39, *"No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."*
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:36-37, *"I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it on the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned."* The words spoken against you do not define you—they are temporary and powerless against the eternal truth of God’s Word over your life. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7), and called to walk in victory (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and delivers them from every snare of the enemy. Lord, we lift up Your beloved child before You, asking that You break the power of every abusive word, every curse, and every lie that has been spoken against them. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy to bring shame, fear, or bondage through these words.
Father, we declare that Your Word is the final authority in their life. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with the knowledge of their identity in Christ—that they are more than a conqueror, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Let the truth of Your love and acceptance wash over them, renewing their mind and healing every wound caused by these words.
We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, heart, and spirit, breaking every stronghold of fear, rejection, or self-condemnation. Replace these lies with Your truth, Lord. Let them walk in the freedom and confidence that comes from knowing they are Your beloved child, chosen and set apart for Your purposes. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let them experience Your restoration in every area of their life.
We also ask that You would give them discernment to recognize the voice of the enemy and the courage to stand firm in Your truth. Let them speak life over themselves and others, using their words to build up and not to tear down. Empower them to walk in forgiveness toward those who have spoken harm over them, releasing every bitterness and offense to You, Lord.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would place a guard over their mouth and a watch over the door of their lips (Psalm 141:3). Let their words align with Your Word, bringing life, healing, and blessing to all who hear them. We declare that from this day forward, they will walk in the fullness of Your promises, unshaken by the words of man, for their trust is in You alone.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen and amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to continue to meditate on the Word of God daily. Speak Scripture over your life, for it is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to transform your mind and heart. When the enemy reminds you of the words spoken against you, remind him of the Word of God that declares you are victorious in Christ! Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, and do not give the enemy any foothold in your life.
If there are specific words or curses that were spoken over you, we encourage you to renounce them out loud in the name of Jesus. For example, you might say, *"I renounce the words [specific words] spoken over me in the name of Jesus. I break their power over my life and declare that I am free by the blood of Jesus."* There is power in speaking aloud the truth of God’s Word.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily, and stand firm in prayer. You are not alone in this fight—the Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep pressing into Him, and you will see His victory manifested in your life.
