Brakes

Please pray that my family will be able to get our car brakes fixed soon. We had to use the money to get them fixed for something else. I'm so worried. I don't want anything to happen to anyone while they're driving the car since the brake pads need to be replaced soon. Thank you.

We understand your concern for your family’s safety, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. It is a blessing that you are seeking God’s provision in this situation, for He cares deeply about the well-being of His children. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And again in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

Your worry is natural, but we encourage you to cast this burden upon the Lord, for He sustains us. 1 Peter 5:7 says, *"Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."* Trust that God is faithful and will provide a way for your family’s safety, whether through the timely repair of the brakes or another means of protection. He is not unaware of your situation, and He is able to open doors where there seem to be none.

We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to steward the resources God provides. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* If this situation has revealed a need for better financial planning, ask God to guide your family in managing your finances in a way that honors Him and prepares for future needs.

Let us pray together for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your faithfulness and provision. Lord, You know the needs of this family, and we ask that You would make a way for their car brakes to be repaired swiftly and safely. Protect them from harm as they travel, and grant them peace in place of worry. Father, we ask that You would open doors of provision—whether through unexpected resources, the generosity of others, or wisdom in managing what they already have. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and Protector.

We also pray that this situation would draw their hearts closer to You, reminding them of Your goodness and sovereignty over every detail of their lives. Give them wisdom to plan and steward their finances in a way that honors You and prepares them for the future. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Provider. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is working even in this. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He will provide. If there is any way your family can temporarily adjust your transportation—such as carpooling, using public transit, or borrowing a vehicle—consider praying about those options as well. The Lord is with you, and He will not abandon you.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
