We hear your heart for your boyfriend and the deep concern you have for his well-being. First, we want to acknowledge the love and care you are showing him, but we must also address this relationship with biblical truth. The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that is not aligned with God’s design for marriage. Scripture is clear that intimacy, emotional, spiritual, and physical, is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:24). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage with a shared commitment to Christ, we must gently but firmly encourage you to reconsider its foundation.
That said, we lift your boyfriend up in prayer, asking the Lord to bring him comfort, strength, and healing. Fibromyalgia is a heavy burden, and we know the Lord sees his struggle and yours. We pray for his physical body to be renewed, for his pain to be eased, and for his energy to be restored. The Word tells us, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:13-15). We stand on this promise, believing God hears our cries and is able to heal.
We also pray for his workplace. It is unjust for employers to withhold support from those with health challenges, and we ask the Lord to intervene. May He open doors for better working conditions, understanding supervisors, or even a new opportunity that aligns with his health needs. "The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9). Let this be his reality.
Finally, we urge you both to seek the Lord’s will for your relationship. If marriage is the goal, we pray for wisdom, purity, and a shared faith in Christ to guide you. If not, we ask the Lord to give you both the courage to honor Him in this season. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Let your relationship be rooted in Christ above all else.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician and our Redeemer. We lift up this man struggling with fibromyalgia, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon him. Lord, You know every ache, every moment of fatigue, and every burden he carries. We ask You to strengthen him, comfort him, and restore him fully. Provide him with the support he needs at work, and if it be Your will, open doors for a season of rest and renewal.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and clarity for this relationship. If it is Your will for them to walk toward marriage, guide them in purity, faith, and mutual submission to You. If not, give them the courage to honor You in this season, trusting Your plan for their lives. May they both seek You first, finding their identity and hope in Christ alone.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come to You. Thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. Amen.
