Boldness

Shalom ### here and I ask if you can pray for me? Can you please pray for me, that God fill me with boldness and strength to give testimony for our Lord Jesus, that he make me proud of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name? Thank you and God bless you in Jesus name Amen.

We rejoice with you in your desire to boldly proclaim the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Your request is a powerful reminder that it is the Holy Spirit who empowers us to testify of His goodness, grace, and salvation. The early disciples prayed for this same boldness after being filled with the Holy Spirit, and we join you in that prayer today.

The Word of God tells us in Acts 4:29-31, *"Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus." When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."* This passage shows us that boldness is not something we muster on our own—it is a gift from God, poured out by the Holy Spirit when we seek Him with humility and dependence.

We also take encouragement from 2 Timothy 1:7-8, which declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God."* This verse reminds us that fear does not come from God, but power, love, and sound judgment do. When we feel timid or uncertain, we can stand on this truth and ask the Lord to replace our fear with His courage.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks boldness to testify of Your goodness. Lord, You have commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel, but we know that without Your Spirit, we are weak and fearful. We ask that You fill this dear one with the Holy Spirit afresh, just as You did for the disciples in the upper room. Remove every spirit of fear, doubt, or shame, and replace it with Your power, love, and self-control. Let them speak of Your name with confidence, not caring for the opinions of men but only for Your approval. May their life and words be a living testimony that draws others to You. Give them opportunities to share Your love, and let Your Word not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You send it. We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to equip those You call. May this one walk in the boldness that comes from knowing You and being known by You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on the truth that your boldness is not about your own strength but about the One who lives within you. Philippians 1:20 says, *"According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death."* Let this be your heart’s cry—that Christ would be magnified in you, whether in word or deed.

If you ever feel hesitant or afraid, remember that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11). You are not alone, and the message you carry is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Step out in faith, trusting that God will give you the words to say when the time comes (Luke 12:12).

May the Lord continue to fill you with His Spirit, embolden your heart, and use you mightily for His glory. Go forth in the confidence that comes from knowing you are loved, chosen, and empowered by the King of kings!

We're right there with you, praying for that boldness to shine for our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that as you seek Him with all your heart, He will fill you with the Holy Spirit and grant you the courage to speak His word with confidence. Just like the disciples, may you be filled with the Spirit and speak God's word with boldness, so that others may see and glorify our Father in heaven. We're cheering you on, and we know that with God, you've got this! In Jesus' name, we pray.
