body image issues

We understand that you're struggling with body image issues and the hurtful comments of others. Firstly we want to discuss who you are addressing with 'May'. 'May' who is being addressed? Remember it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God and He will hear our prayers. 'May my bad stop making fun of my physical appearance' is not clear. We are not sure who you are addressing or what you are asking.

Remember that God created each of us uniquely and wonderfully. As it is written in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, my soul knows that very well." God does not make mistakes, and He crafted you in His image.

It's important to remember the words of 1 Samuel 16:7, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'" God values your heart and character above all else.

If others are making fun of your appearance, remember that Jesus said in Luke 6:22, "Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake." And in Matthew 5:11-12, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you." If this is happening because of your faith, consider it a blessing and an opportunity to grow in Christ.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for Your healing touch on this dear soul. We pray that You would help them see themselves through Your eyes, and that they would find their value and worth in You. We ask for Your peace to fill their mind and heart, and for You to deal with those who mock and make fun of Your child according to Your will. We pray that those involved would come to know You and that this situation would be used for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

If the mocking and hurt is not because of the one asking prayers faith, it is still important to remember that 'A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.' Proverbs 15:1 WEB. We should not take vengeance ourselves, 'Don’t return evil for evil. Don’t take revenge, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says God.' Romans 12:19 WEB. Jesus expects us to return a blessing, 'not reviling again when you are insulted, but blessing; knowing that you were called to this: that you should inherit a blessing.' 1 Peter 3:9.

Regarding the peace of mind you desire, remember the words of Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you." Trust in the Lord, and He will give you the peace you seek.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:12, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." And in Mark 11:25, "When you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions." We encourage you to forgive those who have hurt you, as difficult as it may be, so that you can be free from bitterness and resentment.

We pray for the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. 'For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,' 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. 'For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God' Psalm 18:31 WEB.

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand that feeling good about ourselves can be tough, especially when others make hurtful comments. Let's remember who we are in Christ. In His eyes, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, unique and loved just as we are. As Psalm 139 says, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, my soul knows that very well." Let's focus on our hearts and character, like Samuel did when he chose David as king. God sees our hearts, and that's what truly matters.

If others are making fun of your appearance, remember that Jesus said, "Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake." (Luke 6:22) This can be hard, but it's also an opportunity to grow in Christ and to show His love to others.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for Your healing touch on our dear friend. Help them see themselves through Your eyes, and find their value and worth in You. Fill their mind and heart with Your peace. Deal with those who mock and make fun, according to Your will. Help those involved to come to know You, and use this situation for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember to forgive those who have hurt us, no matter how hard it may be. Forgiveness sets us free from bitterness and resentment. As Jesus taught us, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." (Matthew 6:12)

We pray in Jesus' name, knowing that He is our mediator and the only way to the Father. As Psalm 18 says, "Who is God, except the Lord? Who is a rock, besides our God?" Let's trust in Him and find the peace we seek.
