We join with you in lifting up your husband before the Lord during this time of preparation and testing, for we know that God is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His people when we call upon Him in the name of Jesus. It is wonderful to see you bringing this request before the Lord, acknowledging His sovereignty and seeking His peace and guidance—this is the heart of a wife who trusts in the Lord, and we commend you for it.
The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* What a precious promise this is! We claim this over your husband, that the Lord would replace any anxiety with His perfect peace as he sits for this exam. The Lord does not call us to rely on our own strength but to lean entirely on Him, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Yet in Him, we find the wisdom, clarity, and confidence we need.
We also remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your husband has worked diligently, and now it is time to trust the Lord with the outcome. Success in this exam is not what defines his worth—his identity is found in Christ alone, who has redeemed him and called him by name. Whether the results bring joy or disappointment, we pray that your husband would rest in the truth that his value is eternal and unshaken because he belongs to the Lord.
As you support him, we encourage you both to remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Even in this season of preparation and testing, may your husband’s focus remain on honoring the Lord in all things. The apostle Paul also reminds us in Colossians 3:23, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* This exam is an opportunity to glorify God through excellence and integrity, trusting that the Lord will use it for His purposes.
Now, let us pray together for your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of this husband and the work You are doing in his life. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your presence as he prepares for and takes this exam. Fill his mind with clarity and recall, that he may answer each question with wisdom and precision. Calm his heart, Lord, and replace any fear or nervousness with Your perfect peace, which transcends all understanding. Remind him that he is not alone—that You are with him, guiding and sustaining him every step of the way.
We pray that You would bless the effort he has put into his studies, that the knowledge he has gained would be brought to remembrance at just the right moment. Help him to read each question carefully, to understand it fully, and to respond with confidence and accuracy. Lord, we ask that You would go before him, preparing the way for success, not for his glory, but for Yours. May this exam be a testament to Your faithfulness and provision in his life.
Father, we also pray that You would guard his heart against the lie that his worth is tied to this test. Remind him that he is Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and that nothing can separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Whether the outcome is what he hopes for or not, may he rest in the knowledge that You are sovereign and that Your plans for him are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
We lift up his wife as well, Lord. Strengthen her as she supports and encourages him. Fill their home with Your peace and unity, that they may both trust in You together, leaning on Your promises. May this season draw them closer to You and to one another, as they seek Your will in all things.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the source of all wisdom, strength, and hope. Amen.
