Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this need and allowing prayer with you. I have prayed for your blood pressure to come down and to remain stable, and I continue to bring you before the Lord.
Scripture shows how precious blood is to God. He tells us that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that He gave blood upon the altar to make atonement for our souls. That is why under the old covenant there was such reverence for blood, and why the high priest could only enter the most holy place once a year, and never without blood, first for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. That yearly offering could only cover sin for a time and had to be repeated again and again.
How different it is with Jesus. He is our great high priest who has passed into heaven itself, not into a copy made by human hands. He did not enter with the blood of bulls and goats, but with His own blood, once for all, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Because His sacrifice is complete, He now appears in the presence of God for us, and through Him we can come boldly to God for help in every need.
The same Jesus who shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins also suffered for our healing. The Scriptures connect His suffering with provision for both spiritual and physical healing, and we see His compassion in the way He healed even in difficult moments. He understands the frailty of our bodies and cares about what concerns you today.
So I am asking the Lord to touch your body, to bring your blood pressure to a healthy and stable level, to give you peace as you trust Him, and to give wisdom to any doctors who care for you. May He guard your heart and calm any anxiety, and help you to rest in the finished work of Christ, who with His own blood secured your redemption and who lives to intercede for you.
May the Lord keep you in His care and strengthen you day by day. In Jesus name, amen.
