Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray with you. I am praying for you now that God would bring your blood pressure down and keep it stable, and that He would give you peace as you trust Him with your health.
Scripture teaches that the life of the body is in the blood, and that God Himself gave blood a sacred purpose to make atonement for the soul. That is why blood is treated with such reverence in the Bible. It points to how precious life is to God, and it points forward to Jesus, who did not enter to offer the blood of animals again and again, but entered once for all with His own blood to obtain eternal redemption for us. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and through His blood we have cleansing, forgiveness, and peace with God. When we pray for your body, we remember how deeply God values your life and how fully Christ has provided for you through His sacrifice.
The Bible also shows that Jesus not only bore our sins but bore our sicknesses and infirmities. When He walked on earth He healed many who were sick and oppressed, and Matthew connects that healing ministry to the promise in Isaiah that He has borne our infirmities. He understands the strain and pressure you feel in your body, and He is able to bring calm and steadiness where there has been instability.
So I pray in Jesus name that the Lord would touch your body, lower your blood pressure and keep it in a healthy, stable range, quiet any anxiety, and give you rest. I pray He would give wisdom to you and to those caring for you medically, and help you to steward your body well with wise choices, rest, and obedience to sound medical counsel, while you look to Him as your ultimate healer and keeper.
