Blood pressure

Beloved of All
Please pray for my blood pressure to come down and remain stable. Thank you kindly, in Jesus' name, amen

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this concern about blood pressure. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knit us together in our mothers’ wombs and knows every beat of our hearts. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." Lord, we trust in Your design and Your power to bring healing and stability.

We pray for physical restoration, asking that You would calm the pressures of the body and bring balance where there is imbalance. Proverbs 4:20-22 reminds us, "My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body." Father, let Your Word be life and health to this situation. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or anxiety that may be contributing to this condition, for Your Word declares in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."

We also recognize that physical health is often connected to the condition of the heart and mind. Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask that You would guard this heart with Your peace, releasing any stress, worry, or fear that may be elevating this condition. Help to cast all cares upon You, knowing that You care deeply for every aspect of life.

We encourage seeking wisdom from medical professionals, as they are instruments You can use to bring healing. At the same time, we declare that true healing comes from You alone, and we stand on the promise of Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We speak stability over this blood pressure, trusting that You are working even now to bring it into alignment with Your perfect will.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness, knowing that in the name of Jesus, we have access to Your grace and mercy. We declare that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we receive that healing by faith. Strengthen the faith to believe in Your promises and to walk in the fullness of the life You have called us to. May this situation be a testimony to Your goodness and power, bringing glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We join you right now in bringing this concern before the Lord, knowing He cares about every part of our lives, our bodies included.

When blood pressure spikes or simply won’t settle down, it can be unsettling, even frightening. We want you to know we’re not dismissing that. High blood pressure is serious, and while we pray, we also want to gently encourage you to stay in close touch with your doctor and follow the medical guidance they’ve given you. That’s not a lack of faith, it’s using the wisdom and resources God provides, even as we trust Him completely with the outcome.

In our experience, anxiety can build on itself: we worry about the number, and the worry pushes the number higher. So alongside the practical things you’re doing, we pray for a deep, steady peace to replace that spiral, a calm that doesn’t depend on what the cuff reads. Not because you make it happen, but because God’s presence truly quiets our minds and bodies in ways we can’t manufacture.

We also lift up whatever underlying stresses or silent burdens may be contributing. Whether it’s circumstances you’ve named here or ones only He knows, we ask that He shoulder that with you, bringing relief and even a sense of safety that helps your whole being settle.

Please, let us simply pray.

Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. We don’t know all that’s behind this troubling blood pressure, but You do. We ask You for stable, healthy readings. Guard their heart, arteries, and every organ from harm. Quiet their spirit when anxiety tries to rise. Guide their doctor with clear insight, and give them wisdom for each step. Help them rest tonight and every night in Your care. You are our Healer and our Peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. He is able to heal, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His Grace has infused into us will work us health and cure. His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies.

The blood of Christ hath such a divine power to save, that nothing but it can ever save the soul. There is healing in that blood, for when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one. That blood of sprinkling speaks better things than the blood of Abel, and it pleads not for vengeance but for mercy. God does not say, "When I see your estimate of the blood of Christ, I will pass over you"; no, but "When I see the blood." I do not hope that the blood of Christ will wash away my sin, I know it is so; that blood does cleanse.

I pray the Master, therefore, that He will come and heal that fever within and make the blood cool, restoring by His Grace. May He take you by the hand and lift you up, for there is healing in that touch. Look to the great conduit Head, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. God will do it, that is a sweet thought. Rest in the blood once shed for many for the remission of sin, and may the peace which attends pardon quiet your whole frame. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of blood pressure, and I hear a plea not only for the body but for the soul. Why does the heart beat so wildly? Consider, I ask you, the life you lead. Do you burden your body with excess, with heavy foods and rich drink? Have you not heard how frugality is the mother of health? A sufficiency is both nourishment and peace, but gluttony and repletion breed a swarm of diseases, fevers, apoplexy, pains, and yes, that very turmoil in your veins. What famine does, satiety does also, and worse. Look to your table. God gave food for strength, not for a snare. If you lighten the load on your body, you may find the pressure easing. Walk often by rivers and gardens, listen to the quiet songs of creation, and let your soul rest in the Lord. That stillness is a balm no physician can bottle.

But more than this, what roils your spirit? Anxiety over wealth, ambition, the fleeting things of this world? These are like a torrent, wearing away the banks of your health. Did not our Lord say, Look at the birds of the air? Cast those cares upon Him. If we cling to earthly treasures, they inflame the heart with a fire no water can quench. Turn your mind to the true riches, the eternal life given in Christ’s blood. That blood, shed for the remission of sins, can calm a guilty conscience and heal a troubled heart. When His peace enters, the body often follows into calmness.

And I will pray, yes, together with the whole church, that the Lord who touched a fever and gave back perfect health in an instant will stretch out His hand upon you. He is not far off. Only do your part: seek moderation, flee from anxious thoughts, and come often to the holy mysteries where we eat the flesh and drink the blood that gives life. There is no greater medicine for soul and body. May He grant you stability and peace, in Jesus’ name.

Your concern over your blood pressure touches on something Scripture takes very seriously. The life of the flesh is truly in the blood, and God has always taught us to regard it with deep respect. So it is not a small thing to bring this before the Lord. We ask Him to calm what is unsettled, to bring your numbers down, and to grant you a steady, stable strength.

Yet as your mind stays fixed on the blood coursing through your veins, let it lift higher for a moment. The same Creator who designed the blood’s marvelous ability to sustain your life also provided a far greater gift. The blood of animals could never take away sin, but Jesus entered the heavenly sanctuary with His own blood, once and for all, securing eternal redemption. If He gave His own lifeblood for the healing of your soul, He certainly cares about the vessel that houses it now. His own body bore our infirmities; He understands physical weakness completely.

So I do pray that the pressure would ease and remain stable. But even more, I pray you would find your peace not in a perfect reading, but in the blood that speaks a better word. The only protection and the only ultimate salvation is through that blood. When your heart feels anxious over these numbers, remember the token of His covenant. He has already passed over you in judgment and brought you near. Rest there. His eye is on you, and He will sustain what He has redeemed.
