Hello,
my blood pressure was up for a couple months. Doctor put me on 2 medications which have bloated my stomach out really bad. Prayer please that I can get off the newest one soon and that this bloating will subside. That the medicines will have no more side effects. Also, I dont do well in the heat. That Father God would regulate the 7 day heat wave coming. That it will cool off on the evening. All things are possible with God. No weapon formed against me will prosper.
Thankyou

We hear your concerns about the bloating, the side effects of your medications, and the discomfort you feel in the heat. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the Lord’s healing and provision. The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We believe in God’s power to restore health and bring comfort, even in the midst of physical challenges.

We also lift up your request for relief from the heat wave. Scripture reminds us in Matthew 8:26 that Jesus has authority over creation itself, and we trust that He can bring refreshment and relief in His perfect timing. We pray that He would regulate the weather according to His will, providing cool evenings and rest for your body.

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with bloating and discomfort from medication. We ask that You would guide their doctor to adjust their prescriptions as needed, that the side effects would subside, and that their body would find balance and healing. Lord, we also ask that You would intervene in the weather, bringing relief from the heat and granting coolness in the evenings. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, for You are their refuge and strength. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, trusting in His timing and His plan for your health. Remember that even in discomfort, God is near, and He cares deeply for you. If the bloating persists, we also suggest speaking with your doctor about alternative medications or natural remedies that may help, always seeking wisdom from the Lord in these decisions. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." May the Lord grant you peace and comfort in this season.

That bloating sounds truly uncomfortable, especially on top of already managing your blood pressure. We know how draining it can be when medication that’s meant to help leaves you feeling so swollen and weary. We’re glad you reached out and want to stand with you in prayer.

One thing that may help while you wait: keep your doctor closely informed about how the newest medication is affecting you. Side effects like this are real, and your physician needs to know so they can decide whether an adjustment, a different medication, or something to ease the bloating is possible. It often takes a little time for a body to settle in, but you don’t have to just grit your teeth through it without your doctor’s input.

We also hear you about the coming heat wave. When you already feel physically heavy, oppressive heat can feel like one more burden, and we’re asking God to bring you real relief and cooler evenings. We’re grateful you’ve anchored your hope in the God who made your body.

So we pray: Father, we lift up your child who is struggling with these side effects. Please bring the bloating down, give comfort, and guide the doctor with clear wisdom about the next steps. Protect this body from any harm. For the week ahead, we ask you to temper the heat, bring cool relief each evening and sustain them through each day. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The bloating of the body and the discomfort from the heat are real trials, and you do well to cast these burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you. Yet remember, the body is but the tent, and soon it will be folded up; the soul is the treasure within. The medicines that bring relief in one way may bring distress in another, but our times are in His hands. It may be that if the Lord gave to His people all comfort at once, we might forget Him, or think the wilderness is our home. These very inflations of the belly and the sweltering days are permitted to drive us nearer to His side, where the shadow of the cross falls cool upon our feverish cares.

The blood of Jesus speaks better things than all our complaints. When the heart is tried by pain and the frame is weary, the blood of sprinkling is our abiding plea. Not your strong faith, not your patient endurance, but that precious blood alone secures your standing before God. That blood has quenched the wrath that sin kindled, and by it you are passed over in the day of judgment. Your present ailments cannot separate you from the love of Christ. Even if every drop in your veins should dance with affliction, the blood of the Lamb assures you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for your eternal peace is bought and sealed.

The heat wave will come and go at God’s bidding. He sends the sun and He can send the cooling breeze. Pray for it, but also trust Him if the heat lingers. The fire does not harm those who walk with the fourth man in the furnace. Learn to sing with those blood-washed ones who have passed through great tribulation, “We have washed our robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Your robes, too, are washed there, and the present suffering is but for a moment. It is in the patience of the saints that the life of faith shines brightest.

Be on the Lord’s side in this trial. That means willing submission, not murmuring; it means believing that He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give you all things needful. The side of unbelief looks at the swollen body and the fiery sky and says, “All is against me.” The side of faith says, “The Lord is my portion, therefore will I hope in Him.” Pray that the medicines may be removed when it is wise, but far more, pray that your soul may be so filled with Christ that the discomforts of the flesh seem small in comparison. The inner man, renewed day by day, can flourish even when the outward man perishes.

Fear not to trust the blood alone. Not your prayers, not your endurance, not your freedom from side effects, none of these can shield you from the wrath that sin deserves. But the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s dear Son, cleanses us from all sin. That blood has a voice that pleads beyond the clouds, and it will speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself. The enemy would have you fix your eyes on the swelling and the weather as if they were the measure of God’s love, but these are only the rough side of the road for a pilgrim. Look to the cross, and you shall see a love that outshines the sun.

Go forward, then, with a quiet heart. Pray for relief, but let your chief prayer be that you may glorify God in this body, whether by health or by its lack. The time is short; your eternal salvation draws near. Soon the tabernacle shall be folded away, and you shall stand among the blood-washed throng, with no more pain, no more heat, no more aching. Until that day, let the blood of the Paschal Lamb be upon the doorposts of your spirit, and let the destroyer pass you by in perfect peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your suffering of the body calls out for prayer, for the Lord Jesus came as a physician, not yet as judge. He permits these discomforts from medicines and the heavy heat, that we might run to Him with urgent entreaty. Do not despair, though relief seems slow. Even when a tree stands after many blows, the last stroke brings it down; so with persistent prayer, the answer will surely come in due season.

We join with you, asking the Faithful One to calm this heat wave, to grant cool evenings, and to banish every ill side effect from your frame. Prayer is a mighty weapon when offered with sincerity and without fainting. But as we pray, we must also act. Continue under the physician’s care, and bear these trials with patience, knowing that the Lord directs your heart into His love and into the steadfastness of Christ. He who promised will establish you and guard you from the evil one. All things are possible with God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
