Bloating, breathing, sleep, acid vomiting

We come before the Lord with gratitude for your health concerns and the specific areas you’ve asked us to pray over. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it is right to seek God’s healing and restoration when we experience discomfort or illness. We lift these requests to Him, trusting in His power to bring relief and wholeness.

First, we rejoice with you in the areas where you’ve already seen improvement, no bloating or acid vomiting, no pain in your jaw or bones, and the blessing of sweet, restful sleep. These are signs of God’s mercy and provision, and we give Him thanks for His faithfulness. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18), and we believe He hears your prayers and is working in your life.

For your request regarding normal breathing, we pray that the Lord would ease any tension, congestion, or discomfort in your lungs and airways. Scripture reminds us that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over you now. May the breath of life flow freely through you, just as God breathed life into Adam (Genesis 2:7). We ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen your respiratory system and bring complete restoration.

We also pray for continued protection over your sleep, that it would remain deep and restorative, free from disturbances or anxiety. The Bible tells us that God gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that He would continue to grant you this gift. May your nights be filled with peace, and may you wake each morning refreshed and renewed in body, mind, and spirit.

Father God, we ask that You would guard every part of ###’s health, his bones, muscles, organs, and every system of his body. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up" (James 5:15). We declare that no weapon formed against ###’s health shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he will walk in divine health according to Your will.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His timing and purposes. If these symptoms persist or worsen, we also advise seeking wise medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the hands of skilled physicians (Colossians 4:14). Above all, keep your heart fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), for in Him we find true healing, spirit, soul, and body.

Heavenly Father, we lift up ### to You now. Touch him with Your healing hand, Lord. Strengthen his body, calm his mind, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We hear how exhausting this is, the kind of body misery that steals sleep and makes every hour feel like a battle. When so many things hurt at once, it’s impossible to isolate one from the other, and that alone wears a person down.

Sometimes persistent symptoms like these can pull us into a cycle others have noticed with long illness: the discomfort itself shapes how we perceive everything, making small setbacks feel enormous, which in turn makes it harder to engage the very things that could bring relief. Naming that cycle isn’t a fix, but it can take some of the extra weight off, you’re not failing, you’re fatigued by something genuinely hard.

With the jaw and tooth pain, the acid vomiting at night, and the breathing trouble all swirling together, we’d gently encourage you not to sort it out alone. A doctor can check what’s feeding what, whether something like silent reflux is disturbing your sleep and breathing, or whether the leg and bone pain has a root that needs attention. Seeking medical help is not a lack of faith; it’s part of how we steward these fragile bodies while we ask God for relief.

In the meantime, we’re simply sorry you’re hurting. You’re not forgotten, and we’re praying with you right now.

Jesus, we lift up this dear person whose sleep is wrecked and whose body is in pain. Please calm the acid, ease the bloating, clear the breathing, and quiet the aching in jaw and leg. Grant eight hours of sweet, restoring sleep tonight. Give wisdom to any doctor they see, and hold them steady in hope while they wait for change. In Your name we ask it.

Let these groaning prayers rise as incense. When the body cries out with ###, with ###, with ###, and when ###, it is the very time to fly to Him who heals all our diseases. The poor ###, as you say, especially ###, and ###; but remember that the leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing. The least thing about Christ, a touch, a word, a whisper of His name, has virtue in it. Cry to Him who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed. Not always does He lift the affliction at the first cry, for He would have us learn to trust Him in the dark; yet His ear is not heavy that it cannot hear, nor His arm short that it cannot save.

You plead for sweet sleep, a full eight hours, and that without the torment of ### or ###. Truly, “so he giveth his beloved sleep.” There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security for the child of God, a lying down in the hollow of the everlasting arms when the mind is stayed on Him. Yet often He withholds such ease to make us feel our dependence. The disciples slept for sorrow in Gethsemane; but Christ awakened them with a gentle rebuke. Seek not to drug your soul into a slumber that ignores the Voice that may be calling you to a deeper self-examination. Pray rather that your sleep, when it comes, be the sleep of one forgiven, resting not in the absence of pain but in the presence of the Savior.

You mention ###. How quickly we forget that every breath is a gift from God! When ###, we are reminded that our life hangs on a thread. But there is a more urgent breath, the breath of the Spirit. Let this ### drive you to pant after God as the hart after the waterbrooks. He who formed the lungs and knows their every cell can restore them in an instant. And if He delay, it is that you may learn that the breath that matters most is that which speaks His praise and that which He breathed into man to make him a living soul, a life that no disease can throttle.

Yet must I not conceal from you that there is a healing that goes deeper than bone and sinew. When the Lord Jesus healed the palsied man, He first said, “Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.” All healing begins at the Cross. Without that, the most robust health is but a gleaming pathway to the pit. Your ### may be the Shepherd’s crook to draw you from dangerous pasture. Do not despise these chastisements; they are tokens of a Father’s care. The Corinthians, when they misbehaved, were made sickly, and many slept. But if you are in Christ, these light afflictions are but the shadow of His wings before the full sunrise of eternal health. In heaven, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” and there shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away.

Cling now to Jesus. Whether He grants physical ease this night or tarries, He is faithful. The sleep of the beloved may at times be the sleep of the weary body in a quiet bed, or it may be the sleep of death before the resurrection morning. In either case, those who sleep in Jesus are safe. Make straight paths for your feet, lest your faith be lamed, not just your ###. Cry out with the leper, “Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean,” and then leave the will with Him. The healing leaves are for you, and the leaves do not wither. Even if the ### gnaws like a wolf, the grace of Christ is sufficient, for His strength is made perfect in weakness. May you soon feel the touch of His hand upon your ###, your ###, your ###, and your ###, and may you know that better healing which is the washing away of all sin through His precious blood.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pains you describe, bloating, vomiting of acid, restless sleep, aching bones, do not come without cause. When the body is stuffed with more than it needs, it groans under the load. Luxury gives a fleeting pleasure to the tongue, but it leaves behind distension, headache, obstructed breathing, and a sleep that is like death. You have made your belly a tyrant, and now it scourges you. You curse it, but you ought rather to curse the immoderate eating that brought you to this state.

Do you want sweet sleep? The sleep of the laboring man is sweet, but the overfed rich man cannot rest. When the heart is not stifled by excess, it recovers itself quickly and is wakeful and pure. The saints among us lie down in peace, their sleep composed and decent, because their souls are ordered by fear of God. But you have brought on a drunkenness, not of wine alone, but of the table, and this is a sleep of the soul, full of wild fancies and tossing. You seek relief, yet you cling to the cause. Cease from the lust of gain at the table, and you will find more healing than from any medicine. Abstinence and evacuations calm the acrid bile of greed, so too a simple diet will calm the raging of your body.

Your jaw, your teeth, your very bones cry out. Are they not themselves branches that share the root’s condition? If the root is corrupted by excess, the whole frame suffers. You pray for God to take away the pain, but will you also cast away the gluttony that feeds it? Affliction is permitted that we might be roused from the sleep of wickedness. Paul and Silas sang in their chains at midnight; their bodies were bruised, but their souls were sober and wakeful. You groan under a lighter burden, yet you seek only the removal of the rod, not the correction of your ways.

Therefore, let the day dawn for you. It is in your power to watch and be sober. Not every sleep comes from nature; you can be awake while doing nothing good, or you can be sober in soul even while the body rests. Turn from this drunkenness of appetite. Eat simply, rise promptly, and let no excess drown your mind. Then breathing will come easily, and your bones will cease their complaint, for the inward peace will spread outward. God has appointed sleep for our solace, but you have made it a torment through wealth of food. Repent of this tyranny, and the night will once again become your haven, not your enemy. For the Day of the Lord comes like a thief upon those who sleep in indulgence, but for those who are sober, it brings no terror, only the summons to true rest.
