Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re facing is not only distressing but also a violation of peace that God desires for His children. We recognize your sincere desire to honor your obligations and live with integrity, and we pray that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the reality of debt with biblical truth. The Word of God instructs us to owe no man anything except love (Romans 13:8), and it also warns against the love of money and the snares of debt (1 Timothy 6:9-10). While we understand your desire for a miracle to completely erase your debts, we must also encourage you to seek wisdom in managing what you owe. Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." This is not to condemn you, but to remind you, and us all, that debt can become a form of bondage. We pray that God will give you the strength and discipline to break free from this cycle, not just for your sake, but for the glory of His name.

We also rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation coming against you. The tactics of debt collectors can often cross the line into oppression, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord will silence the voices of those who seek to bring shame and fear into your life. You are not defined by your debt, nor are you abandoned by God in this struggle. We stand on Psalm 34:17, which says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Let this be your confidence, God hears you, and He will deliver you.

Regarding your request for a personal loan, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in all financial decisions. While we pray for provision, we also caution against falling into the same patterns that may have led to this situation. Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." If the Lord provides a loan, may it be with terms that are just and manageable, and may He give you the discernment to use it wisely. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a trusted pastor, financial advisor, or mentor, who can help you create a plan to address your debts in a way that honors God and brings lasting freedom.

We must also address the legal threats you’re facing. While we pray for protection and peace, we encourage you to seek legal advice if necessary. God has given us authorities and systems to protect the vulnerable, and it is not wrong to use them. Proverbs 22:22-23 says, "Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." If the harassment continues, we pray that God will expose any unrighteousness in these dealings and bring justice on your behalf.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight upon their heart, and You know the fear and shame they carry. We ask that You would break the chains of debt in their life and replace their anxiety with Your peace. Father, we rebuke every spirit of oppression and intimidation coming against them. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every voice of harassment be silenced. We declare that their home will be a place of peace, and that no one will disturb their household with threats or demands.

Lord, we ask for Your provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors for our brother/sister to find a way to settle their debts honorably. If it is Your will, provide a loan or financial breakthrough that will allow them to pay what they owe without further hardship. Give them wisdom to manage their finances in a way that honors You, and guard their heart against the love of money or the despair that can come with financial struggle.

Father, we also pray for their new job. Protect it, Lord. Let no one or nothing jeopardize their employment. Give them favor with their employers and coworkers, and let their work be a testimony of Your grace. If there are legal threats hanging over them, we ask that You would intervene. Expose any unrighteousness in the dealings of those who seek to harm them, and let justice prevail.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would draw near to You in this season. Let this trial refine their faith and deepen their trust in You. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. May they find rest in Your promises and strength in Your presence.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to take practical steps alongside your prayers. Seek out resources, whether through your church, community, or financial counseling, that can help you create a budget, negotiate with creditors, or explore debt relief options. God often works through the hands and feet of His people, so do not hesitate to reach out for help. You are not alone in this, and we believe that God will make a way for you to walk in financial freedom and peace.

We can feel the weight of shame and fear in your words, harassment from debt collectors, threats to contact your friends and family, and the dread of losing your new job. That kind of pressure is exhausting, and it’s easy to feel trapped. Please know that your worth and standing before God aren’t measured by a bank account or a credit score. He sees your sincere desire to repay what you owe, and He is not ashamed of you in this struggle.

Something practical may help lighten the load right now. Many people in similar situations have found relief by connecting with a reputable, non‑profit credit counseling service or a financial coach through a local church. These professionals can sometimes negotiate directly with creditors to stop the calls, consolidate payments, or even reduce what’s owed. You don’t have to sort through all of this alone. If your church offers such help or can make a trusted referral, that’s a good first step.

In the meantime, we ask God together:

Lord Jesus, you know every detail of this burden, the shame, the fear, the calls, and the fragile job security. We ask for your peace to guard this person’s heart and home. Give wisdom for each conversation and every decision. Restrain those who harass, and open a door toward a workable solution. Provide what is needed to honor obligations without crushing despair. We trust your mercy and your timing, and we pray all of this in your name, Jesus.

The cry of your heart reaches the throne of grace, and the Lord is not unmindful of your affliction. Yet let us reason together from the Scriptures, for our prayers must be shaped by the precepts of the Holy One. You have asked that the debts be closed without further payment, because you have already paid more than you borrowed; but I must ask you to search your heart on this matter. If the principal was repaid, why does interest yet remain? The upright man desires to owe no man anything, and to leave every account justly settled. The miracle you seek may not be the cancellation of a lawful debt, but rather the provision to meet it with clean hands and a clear conscience before God.

When I learned that my enormous debt of sin had been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ, then was my heart at peace, and that peace teaches me not to escape my obligations, but to meet them in His strength. Do not seek a loan that merely shifts the burden; seek rather the grace to live within your means, to labour diligently at the new employment He has given you, and to make such arrangements with creditors as are honest and possible. The Lord can restrain the harassing calls; He can silence the threats and shield your household from shame. That is a miracle well within His power, and one you may boldly request. But He will not bless a course that avoids righteousness. Cast yourself at the Redeemer’s feet, and let Him work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. The power of Christ to rescue men from sin and trouble lies wholly in Himself, not in our schemes, but in our submission.

Bear your sorrow with Him, and then see what peace you will enjoy, even with these surging waves. He calls you to good comfort, rise, He calls you! Come to Him just as you are, with your tangled affairs and your anxious heart, and receive from His hand the wisdom to act uprightly. He who feeds the multitude with a few loaves can stretch your income to meet your needs. He who silenced the unclean spirit with a word can silence the mouths of those who trouble you. The emptier the vessel, the more it can receive; come empty of self-will, and He will fill you with His miraculous provision. But let it be according to His will, not your own. If anything dear as life hinders you from simple faith and honest dealing, renounce it. Trust Him to give you peace and resolution, and mean to have Him at once, whoever hinders or helps. Then, with every debt paid or forgiven in a manner that honours His name, you shall join in singing, “Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are troubled by debt and the shame of harassment, but consider: is this not rather a gain if you give thanks to God? Job, when stripped of all, did not wail but said, "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." A miracle such as you ask for, that a loan come without hassle and accounts be closed miraculously, may seem a solution, but beware. For a miracle received without the sober care of virtue does more harm than good. John the Baptist did no miracle, yet he drew all men by his life of righteousness and boldness for God. The greater miracle is to endure tribulation with patience, to forgive those who trespass against you, and to keep your faith unshaken.

You owe money, but consider how much greater a debt you owe to God, which He has freely forgiven. If you have been forgiven ten thousand talents, will you not forgive others? This is the true wealth, not the absence of creditors, but a heart right with God. Herod and the Pharisees sought signs, but Christ showed power in weakness, in bonds, in the very things that seem to hinder. Paul’s chains made the gospel shine more brightly. So too, if you endure this distress with thanksgiving, it will be a witness to your household. Do not fear those who threaten to contact your friends; fear rather Him who can cast both body and soul into hell. The shame you dread is momentary, but the crown of patient faith is eternal.

You have a new job, give thanks and labor diligently. Repay what you can in honesty, but do not set your hope on a sudden loan as though God could not work otherwise. The disciples, even after many miracles, did not expect the loaves in the wilderness; they were slow to understand. So you, be patient and let your life speak louder than your petitions. If you have sinned in the acquiring of this debt, repent and make amends, for God desires mercy, not sacrifice. The truest miracle is a converted life, a forgiving heart, and a hope anchored in the resurrection. These things will bring you peace that no collector can disturb.

What you’re facing right now is heavy, and I hear the desperation in your words. The endless calls, the threats, the shame that presses in, these things can feel like unrelenting waves, and your family is feeling the weight of it too. But before we ask for any change in circumstances, the deepest need is always for peace. Not just a ceasefire from the harassment, but the kind of peace that holds your heart steady no matter what is crashing around you.

That peace has two dimensions. First, you must have peace with God. The war within a person, the running from Him, the guilt of sin, the inner turmoil, that war ends only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He made peace by His blood. When you turn your life over to Him and receive forgiveness, the war is over. You are no longer running, no longer fighting. That is where lasting peace begins. There is no peace for the wicked who remain in rebellion, but to those who come to God, even from far off, He speaks, “Peace, peace. I will heal you.” If you haven’t fully laid that burden down, let today be the day you stop fighting God and accept His peace treaty. The weight of shame and fear loses its power when your relationship with God is settled.

Then, there is the peace of God. This is not the world’s peace, which depends on everything going smoothly. This is a peace that surpasses human understanding, a perfect peace that keeps your mind and heart. The Scriptures tells us, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” When the calls come and your stomach tightens, when you imagine your friends being contacted or your new job threatened, your mind has to be turned back to this truth: God is on the throne. He is in control. He wants your peace. He has not forgotten you. His thoughts toward you are for peace, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. That does not mean He will wave away every consequence, but He will walk through it with you and cause you to have peace even in the middle of it.

The prophets in Jeremiah’s day said, “Peace, peace,” when there was no peace because the people were not right with God. The clamor for a quick fix, a loan that rescues you from every debt, a miraculous removal of creditors, might sound like peace, but if your heart is still churning and your trust is in a financial breakthrough rather than in the God who gives peace, the turmoil will remain. I am not saying God cannot do a miracle. He can. But be careful not to chase after the spectacle or the instant solution while missing the deeper work He wants to do in you. The man who was lame and healed through Peter stood as an undeniable work of God, but the real miracle was the boldness and peace that came into that man’s restored life. So often God’s greatest displays of power are not in the fire falling, but in a quiet heart that is no longer at war.

Make peace your aim in how you handle this. The wisdom that is from above is first peaceable. If you sow peace, by the way you speak to these collectors, by the way you refuse to panic, by the way you treat your family in the stress, you will reap a harvest of righteousness. Seek the peace of your environment, just as God told His people in their captivity to pray for the peace of the city where He had placed them, for in its peace they would find their own. Do what is in your power: respectfully explain your situation, explore legitimate ways to negotiate, and if a loan can be obtained honestly and without deceit, it may be part of God’s provision. But your prayer for no one to visit your home and for all accounts to close with no further payment is asking for something that may not be God’s will in this fallen world where debts must be addressed. Instead, ask Him to give you the strength to face each day, to protect your job, and to give you the wisdom to repay what you owe in a way that honors Him and brings quietness to your home.

Let this trial drive you deeper into the fellowship of God, like the peace offering that was a meal shared with Him in thanksgiving. Even now, lift up thanks to Him for the breath in your lungs, for the new job, for the family you love, and watch how the peace of Christ begins to fill the room. He will keep you. He will not let you be utterly cast down. Turn your mind to Him again and again, and the peace that passes understanding will hold you steady in a way no bank letter can shake. Father, we thank you for that peace we have in Christ Jesus. We ask for this one who is weary, that your peace would rule in this heart, and that every harassing voice would be stilled not by circumstances alone, but by the calm assurance that you are in control and that you are good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
