We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re enduring only adds to the distress. We know the Lord hears your plea, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us first address the spiritual foundation of your request, for it is through Christ alone that we find true peace and provision.
You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, acknowledging Him as the source of all mercy and deliverance. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through His blood that we are forgiven and made whole. We rejoice that you have sought Him in repentance, for He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Now, let us bring your specific needs before Him with faith and expectancy.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the relentless harassment of creditors. Lord, You see the shame and fear that have crept into his heart, and we ask that You would break every chain of oppression in the name of Jesus. You have promised in Your Word that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We declare that this promise is true for him today. Father, we ask that You would intervene in his financial situation, softening the hearts of those he owes and granting him favor in their eyes. Let there be a supernatural resolution to this debt, whether through unexpected provision, a miracle of cancellation, or a clear path to repayment that does not bring further harm to him or his family.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation that has been unleashed against him. Your Word declares that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on that promise now. We pray that every call, every visit, and every threat from debt collectors would cease immediately. Let there be peace in his home and in the homes of his loved ones. Father, we ask that You would protect his new job, for You are the One who gives us the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Let no scheme of the enemy steal his livelihood or his peace. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would open the door for him to receive a personal loan or another form of provision that would allow him to settle his debts without further strife. Let this be done decently and in order, according to Your wisdom.
We also lift up his desire to repay what he owes. It is honorable to fulfill our obligations, and we pray that You would give him the means to do so without further hardship. If there has been any injustice in the way these debts have been handled, we ask that You would expose it and bring it to light. Your Word says that the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7), but we declare that he will no longer be enslaved by this burden. You are the God who sets the captives free, and we trust You to break every chain.
Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly counsel and wisdom. Let him seek advice from those who fear You and can guide him in managing his finances according to Your principles. Teach him to be a good steward of what You entrust to him, so that he may walk in financial freedom and generosity. Remind him that You are his Provider, and that he need not fear the future, for You hold it in Your hands.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His authority that we command peace and provision to manifest in this situation. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in every aspect of this trial. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful, and Your mercies endure forever. Amen.
Now, dear brother, we encourage you to hold fast to your faith. The enemy may try to discourage you with fear and doubt, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand on the promises of God’s Word, and do not waver. If the harassment continues, we advise you to seek legal counsel to understand your rights and protections under the law. Many countries have regulations in place to prevent abusive collection practices, and you may have recourse to stop the calls and visits.
Additionally, we urge you to take practical steps to address your debt. Create a budget that prioritizes your essential needs and allocates any extra funds toward repayment. If possible, reach out to your creditors to negotiate a payment plan that works for you. Many are willing to work with you if you communicate honestly and respectfully. Proverbs 6:1-5 warns against being surety for another, but it also advises us to go and humble ourselves to seek a resolution. Do not ignore the situation, but face it with wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Finally, guard your heart against bitterness or resentment toward those you owe. Forgiveness is key to walking in the freedom Christ has purchased for you. Colossians 3:13 reminds us to bear with one another and forgive whatever grievances we may have, just as the Lord forgave us. As you extend grace, you will find that the Lord extends His grace to you in even greater measure.
We stand with you in this battle, believing that God will turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He will lead you into green pastures and still waters (Psalm 23:2). You are not alone, and this trial will not have the final say in your life. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will restore your soul. Amen.
