Thank you for sharing your heart and this deep request. I join you in prayer for you and your baby, and I understand how heavy this is after the pain of a previous stillbirth, especially while carrying the added burdens of diabetes and fibroids.
There is much about healing that remains a mystery to us. We do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we do believe that God is still the healer. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed in many different ways, sometimes instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes gradually, and sometimes without following any set pattern at all. That reminds us He is not confined to one method.
We also believe that every healing process is from God. He created our bodies and built into them processes for life and restoration, and the wisdom He gives to doctors and medical staff is part of His care. When we pray for wisdom for your doctors, we are asking the Lord to guide their hands and minds through the means He has established. His power was shown in healing sickness and disease as a sign that He truly bore our infirmities and sicknesses, as Isaiah prophesied and Matthew confirmed, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.
At the same time, Scripture is honest that God does not choose to remove every affliction in the way we ask. Even the apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for his thorn in the flesh and learned that God's grace and sovereign will were at work in a different way. Because of that, we never want to suggest that a lack of healing means there is sin in your life or a lack of faith. That is not true and it is not biblical. We simply bring our requests to a faithful Father and trust His love and wisdom.
Pregnancy itself brings so many physical and hormonal changes and vulnerabilities, and God understands the fragility and the wonder of this time. Just as He sovereignly worked through ordinary circumstances to protect and provide in the biblical account of a difficult journey late in pregnancy, He is able to watch over you now, to protect your baby, and to work through every detail, seen and unseen, for good.
He also brings healing that goes beyond the physical. After deep loss, there are wounds in the heart and mind that need His gentle restoration, and He is able to heal those scars as well as the body.
So I pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this mother and her child to You. Please place Your protecting hand upon them. Guard this baby's life and growth, and we ask for Your mercy that there would be no complications from diabetes, from fibroids, or from any unknown cause. Comfort the heart that still carries the grief of stillbirth, and let Your peace guard her mind. Grant clear wisdom, skill, and discernment to every doctor, nurse, and staff member who provides care, and guide every decision they make. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power over all sickness and over all creation, and we leave this precious life in Your loving care. Amen.
Please keep trusting Him and keep bringing every fear and hope to Him in prayer. He hears, He loves you, and He is near.
