Thank you for sharing your heart and for inviting prayer in the name of Jesus. I am joining you now to ask our Father for His mercy, protection and peace over you and your little one throughout this pregnancy.
Your request reminds me how well the Lord understands the physical strain and weariness of these months, especially the final stretch when hormones and bodily changes make everything feel more difficult and vulnerable. Scripture shows us Mary making a long and arduous journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem while she was great with child, with no ability to appeal the decree that required it. From a human viewpoint it looked inconvenient and even risky, but God was sovereignly at work. Seven hundred years earlier He had spoken through the prophet that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, and He moved even the decree of Caesar to bring Mary to the right place at the right time. Men may think they rule, but God overrules, and He is still able to direct circumstances, bodies and outcomes according to His wise purposes. He is able to care for the position of the placenta, for fibroids, for diabetes and for any unseen concern.
We also remember that God knows and values your baby even now in the womb. When Mary greeted Elizabeth, the baby in Elizabeth's womb leaped for joy and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. The Lord filled John even before birth, showing that He sees and loves life before we ever see its face. And the angel's word to Mary remains true for you, with God nothing shall be impossible.
I also want to encourage you that asking for health is right and good, while remembering that health itself is a gracious gift and not the measure of God's love or favor. Some who love God deeply remain strong to the end of life, like Moses and Caleb, while others grow feeble, and that difference does not mean one is more loved than another. We thank God for health when He gives it, and we trust Him to give grace to thank Him and to rest in His love even in weakness. So we can bring every concern to Him with confidence and leave the outcome in His faithful hands.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You for this mother and child. Please place Your hand of protection over them both. We ask that You would guide the position of the placenta to where it needs to be, bring stability through any complication from fibroids or diabetes, and guard against any hidden problem. Grant wisdom to the doctors and nurses, peace to this mother's heart, and strength day by day. Bless this baby to grow and be born healthy in Your timing, and above all let Your will be done and Your name be trusted. Help her to rest in Your faithfulness knowing You see her, You know this child, and nothing is impossible with You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
