Blessings and protection

We lift up this precious time of pregnancy with great joy and reverence, standing in agreement with this mother’s plea for God’s blessings and protection. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author of life and the Giver of every good and perfect gift. It is only through His name that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is in His name that we boldly ask for Your mercy and favor.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of this child, for You knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We ask that You would watch over this pregnancy, guarding both mother and baby from every harm. The concerns about fibroids and diabetes are real, but we declare that Your power is greater than any medical condition. We rebuke the spirit of fear and speak life over this situation, trusting in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Father, we ask for divine health, strength, and wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved. Guide their hands and minds as they care for this mother and child.
We also lift up the spiritual well-being of this family. Father, we pray that this child would grow not only in physical health but also in the knowledge and fear of the Lord. May they be raised in a home that honors You, where Your Word is taught and Your presence is sought. We pray for the parents, that they would be godly examples, raising this child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). If there are any areas where this family is not aligned with Your will, whether in their relationship, their walk with You, or their daily lives, we ask that You convict and draw them closer to You. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and we pray that if this child is being raised in a home that does not reflect Your design, You would bring restoration and healing.
Lord, we also take this moment to remind this mother and all who read this that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If she or anyone connected to this pregnancy has not surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Help them to see their need for a Savior and to place their trust in Jesus, who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life (John 3:16).

You need your God, nobody but He who made you can ever new-make you, and nobody but He who keeps Israel can preserve both mother and child in the day of trial.
Take this plea you have uttered and see it as the cry of true dependence. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, you are on that highway when you pray in Jesus' name, casting yourself upon mercy and sovereign skill. Do not turn aside into the byroads of murmuring, or into the dark alleys of unbelief, for there the robbers of fear and despair will meet you. Walk in the way of childlike trust in Providential guidance, dare not lean upon your own understanding of these bodily dangers, but wait upon the Lord to know that He is doing all things well. He has charged His angels to keep His people in all their ways, and this protection is perpetual as well as personal.
Only Omnipotent Wisdom can make a man healthy, or keep him so. That same wisdom that set the stars in their courses and told the sea where its waves should halt, that wisdom can command every cell and organ to fulfill His purpose. The fibroids, the diabetes, all that threatens, these are not beyond the reach of the surgeon's skill who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. The Lord can make that which is a mass of weakness to become healthy and strong, for the great credit of His own skill and compassion.
He plants His people by the rivers of His living waters, and there is health in being so planted. Are you clinging to the cross? Are your lips praying lips, confessing lips that speak well of the Redeemer? Then you are already in the pathway where angelic protection is guaranteed. Though the way be shadowed with apprehension and the body wearied with its load, yet the Lord's eye is upon you for good, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save.

Father, we ask You to be with this mother throughout her pregnancy and bless her with a healthy baby. We pray against all complications related to fibroids and diabetes, for You are her healer and sustainer *(Exodus 23:26)*. Grant her strength and courage, for You have not given her a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind *(2 Timothy 1:7)*. Please have mercy and surround her and her child with Your protecting hand *(Isaiah 46:3–4)*. In Jesus' name, Amen.
