We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your appointment and this precious time in your life. We join you in praying for God’s blessings and protection over you and your unborn child. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in His sovereignty and goodness, knowing that He knits together every life in the womb with purpose and care (Psalm 139:13-14).
Father, we ask that You guide the hands of the medical professionals attending to this dear sister and her baby. Grant them wisdom, clarity, and skill as they provide care. We pray against any complications in this pregnancy, declaring Your promise of health and wholeness over both mother and child. You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we stand on Your word, believing that this pregnancy will be carried to full term with strength and joy.
We also lift up the desire for a healthy baby girl. Lord, You know the plans You have for this child—plans for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that she will grow in the fear and knowledge of You, that her life will bring glory to Your name, and that she will walk in the purpose You have ordained for her.
However, we must also address a concern in this prayer. While we rejoice in the life growing within you, we must gently remind you—and all who read this—that the Bible is clear about the sanctity of life and the context in which children are to be conceived and raised. Children are a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3), and they are to be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). If this pregnancy is outside the covenant of marriage—a union between one man and one woman—we must call this what Scripture calls it: fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). The Lord is gracious and forgiving, and He calls us to repentance and holiness. If this is the case, we urge you to turn from sin, seek forgiveness, and walk in the light of God’s truth. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
We also want to ensure that our prayers are grounded in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a gift of grace, not something we can earn, and it is the foundation of a life that pleases God.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her unborn child. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection and favor over her appointment. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your presence go before her in every step. We declare that no weapon formed against her or this child will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety in the name of Jesus.
Father, we pray for a smooth and uncomplicated pregnancy. Strengthen this mother’s body, mind, and spirit, and knit together this baby girl in perfect health. Let her grow strong and whole, prepared for the plans You have for her life. We ask that You would bless this family with Your wisdom, provision, and grace, that they may raise this child in the ways of the Lord.
If there is any sin that needs to be confessed, Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead this sister into repentance. Cleanse her heart, restore her soul, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Help her to walk in holiness and righteousness, trusting in Your forgiveness and grace.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for this situation. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may this child be a testament to Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
