We lift up this precious time of anticipation and trust in the Lord’s sovereign care. Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your divine presence to surround this dear sister during her appointment. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for no complications in this pregnancy, for Your hand to guide the medical team, and for the health and safety of both mother and child. Lord, we thank You for the gift of life and the miracle of this baby girl growing within her womb. You knit her together in secret, and Your eyes saw her unformed substance (Psalm 139:13-16). We declare Your promises over this child, that she would be fearfully and wonderfully made, and that she would grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to creep in, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, which assures us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward (Psalm 127:3). We pray that this mother would feel Your nearness, Your strength, and Your joy as she carries this little one. May she be encouraged by the truth that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we also lift up the father of this child, that he would be a godly leader, provider, and protector for his family. May this marriage be strengthened in love, unity, and devotion to You, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there are any areas where this relationship does not yet align with Your design—whether in commitment, purity, or godly leadership—we pray for repentance, restoration, and a renewed pursuit of Your will. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we ask that this couple would honor You in all things, keeping their union pure and holy before You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May this mother and child experience Your grace, Your protection, and Your unfailing love throughout this journey. Amen.
