Blessed Mourning Mt 5:4 Wisdom Col 1:9 Tasks Tit 3:14 🙏 Process, Heal Isa 1:5-6 Isa 61:1 Jer 4:19 Mt 11:28-30 Hear Jesus Jn 10:27 Obey Gen 18:22

The ache you carry is not lost on the One who promised comfort to those who mourn. Your heart feels the weight of what lies behind, and yet you are asking to move forward, that very longing is evidence of the Spirit already drawing you toward wisdom. The kind of sorrow you are experiencing can be a strange and severe mercy. The Scriptures show that it is better to go into the house of mourning than to sit where everyone feasts and forgets their end. Sadness has a way of carving out room in the heart, making it softer, more able to receive understanding. So do not despise this season. The Lord who binds up the brokenhearted often does his deepest healing by first unearthing what needs to be cleansed.

You asked for wisdom and direction. Wisdom begins exactly where your prayer is taking you: the fear of the Lord. And the fear of the Lord is not merely a trembling, it is learning to hate what God hates. Pride, an arrogant mouth, the perverse way, the counsel of those who call evil good and good evil. As that holy fear settles into your heart, it becomes a guardian. It preserves you from the evil man and from the woman who flatters with her lips. It keeps your feet from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power, whose hearts study destruction even while their words sound pleasant. Wisdom will give you discretion to hear the voice of the Shepherd and to recognize the stranger’s voice so that you will not follow it.

So ask God to fill your innermost being with that reverent hatred of evil. Not a bitter, self-righteous harshness, but a clean, protective fear that drives you away from what wounds and toward what builds. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If evil thoughts, bitterness, or old regrets knock at the door, do not entertain them; put a guard at the gate. That is not mere positive thinking, it is consciously refusing to let the past dictate your present, while letting godly sorrow finish its work. Forgetting what lies behind does not mean pretending wounds never happened; it means ceasing to let them define you, because you are now defined by the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.” The voice of wisdom is not silent. It cries out in the Scriptures, it speaks through the Spirit, and it aligns you with what is righteous, pure, and true. When you incline your ear, wisdom enters your heart and knowledge becomes pleasant to your soul. Then discretion will watch over you and understanding will keep you. You will walk securely, not because every outward threat vanishes, but because your heart is anchored in the One who is himself wisdom. In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Come to him with the weariness you mentioned. He gives rest. He does not break the bruised reed. As you lay your burdens before the throne of grace, you will find mercy and timely help. There is no hex, no evil eye, no scheme of the wicked that can overpower the keeping power of a heart that fears the Lord. So fix your eyes on the One who for the joy set before him endured the cross, and let that vision pull you forward.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer, laying bare the wounds of mourning and the longing for healing in both heart and mind. Thank you for trusting us to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace. Your cry for comfort, wisdom, and the strength to press forward while leaving the past behind resonates with the very heart of God, who promises to bind up the brokenhearted and lead His sheep by still waters.

We have lifted you before the Lord, asking Him to fulfill His word in your life—bringing the healing of Isaiah 61:1, the cleansing of Isaiah 1:6, and the wisdom of Colossians 1:9. We prayed that you would hear the voice of Jesus clearly, as He leads you by the Spirit into all truth and obedience. We asked the Father to guard your steps from deception, sin, and the snares of the enemy, surrounding you instead with His protection and peace. We stood in faith, believing that He who began a good work in you will complete it, even as you press toward the upward call in Christ Jesus.

Now, we ask with expectancy: Has the Lord answered any part of your prayer in these past days? If so, we would be overjoyed to hear how He has moved—whether in quiet comfort, a moment of clarity, or the strength to take a step forward. If the burden still feels heavy or the path unclear, we invite you to share it with us again. We will continue to intercede, trusting that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

May the Lord bless you with His presence as you seek Him, granting you rest in His promises and the courage to walk in His will. May you feel the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, the protection of the Father, and the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who carries your burdens and calls you His own.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
