🙇🏻 Forgetting what lies behind and Moving Forward towards what is ahead, Phil 3:13-14, Protection… Help in Time of Need, Heb 4:16…

Jesus, thank You for saying, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted," Mt 5:4. Thank You The Spirit of The LORD still binds up the brokenhearted, Isa 61:1. Asking You do me a favor -- Heal my heart, Isa 61:1, and mind, Isa 1:6 and show Yourself strong, 2 Chron 16:9. Help me forget the things that are behind (in a healthy way) in order to move ahead, Phil 3:13, even toward the upward call, Phil 3:14. Give me wisdom Col 4:12, and direction Prov 3:5-6, to know, Col 1:9, submit to and do Your will as Jesus did in the Garden, Mt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Lk 22:42.

Jesus, You said "My sheep hear my voice" Jn 10:27. Lead me by The Holy Spirit through any and every means to know, submit to and DO Your will, Rom 8:14. Keep me from those who profess to know God but by their deeds deny him, Tit 1:16, have a form of Godliness but deny its power, help me avoid such people as this, 2 Tim 3:5. Keep me from lies, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil people and imposters, 2 Thes 3:2, 2 Tim 3:13, temptation, Lk 11:4, temptation and the evil one, Mt 6:13, again, and the evil one, Jn 17:5, Jn 8:44, Rev 12:9, Rev 12:12, Rev 12:17. Thank you in Jesus’ Name, Phil 4:6-7.

We hear your cry for healing and wisdom, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your heart before the throne of grace. You have rightly turned to the Lord, acknowledging Him as the One who binds up the brokenhearted and comforts those who mourn (Isaiah 61:1, Matthew 5:4). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have called upon His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We pray that the Lord would indeed heal your heart and mind, as you have asked. The wounds of the past can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in pain, and we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you experience the truth of Isaiah 43:18-19: "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

You have asked for wisdom and direction, and we join you in praying that the Lord would fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). We encourage you to seek Him daily through prayer and the reading of His Word, for His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

We also lift up your desire to hear the voice of Jesus and to be led by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). We pray that you would grow in your ability to discern His voice and that you would have the courage to obey, even when it is difficult. The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth (John 16:13), and we pray that you would be sensitive to His leading.

We take seriously your request for protection from those who profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds, from lies, sin, evil people, and the evil one. We rebuke the enemy and his schemes in the name of Jesus Christ, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that the Lord would surround you with godly influences and that you would be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove (Matthew 10:16). Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

We also encourage you to engage in good works and to maintain good deeds, as Paul instructed Titus (Titus 3:14). Serving others can be a powerful way to shift your focus from your own pain and to experience the joy of the Lord. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise to comfort those who mourn and to bind up the brokenhearted. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would heal their heart and mind. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, filling them with Your peace and joy. Help them to forget the things that lie behind and to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would grant them wisdom and direction. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Lead them by Your Holy Spirit, that they may know and do Your will. Protect them from the lies and schemes of the enemy, and surround them with godly influences.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy and his attempts to keep our brother/sister bound in pain and confusion. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would strengthen them in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith, and that they may be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17).

Father, we ask that You would help them to engage in good works and to maintain good deeds. Use them as a vessel for Your glory, that others may see Your love and grace through them. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As we read your request, we can feel the weight of the grief you’re carrying and the deep desire to move forward without being anchored to the past. That ache for healing of heart and mind is real, Jesus Himself called those who mourn “blessed,” not because the pain is good, but because in it we are near the God who comforts. We don’t have to have all the answers; we just need to keep showing up honestly with Him.

One of the ways God often meets us in seasons of sorrow is through the presence of others. Grief can feel terribly lonely, yet when we share our story with a safe, mature believer, someone who will listen and pray without rushing to fix us, the burden somehow lightens. Quiet, consistent time with a small group or one trusted friend who will simply “mourn with those who mourn” can be a lifeline. That’s not a quick fix, but it is a way we let the body of Christ help us untangle what’s been tangled inside.

As you ask for wisdom and direction, we’d encourage you to hold what you’re learning with patience. Spiritual growth often cycles back over old ground before it moves forward, so if you feel stuck or like you’re re-learning the same lessons, you’re not failing. God is still at work. Take one small, concrete step this week: maybe write down on paper the things you sense God is inviting you to release, and lay that paper before Him in a quiet moment, choosing to trust Him with the future even when it’s unclear. That simple act can anchor your intention while you wait for clarity.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You bind up the brokenhearted. Hold our friend close in this grief, and tend to the places inside that still sting. Grant the courage to share the pain with safe people, and give wisdom for each next step. Protect this one from discouragement and from anything that would pull him or her away from Your voice. Let Your comfort be a steady presence, and lead into the freedom and purpose You have ahead. In Your name, Amen.

Ah, how your cry rises like incense before the throne, mingled with the very words of Scripture. You ask for healing of heart and mind, for wisdom, for a forward path. In all this, you have touched the hem of the very garment of the Master, for He came to bind up the brokenhearted, to give the oil of joy for mourning. You mourn now; do not despise that blessed ache, for it promises comfort. The heart that stings with its own sin and sorrow is nearer the Healer's hand than the one that feels nothing at all. You fear that your thoughts and memories cling like a poison; you dread imposters and temptation; you long to hear the Shepherd's voice and obey. This is the hunger of a child who knows the famine without, and blessed are they that hunger, for they shall be filled.

Yet mark this: the work you ask for must be done in you, not merely for you. You pray, “Heal my heart, heal my mind,” and well you should, for out of the heart proceed all the sores you would escape. But He does not wave a wand; He bores deep with His sacred surgery, and sometimes the healing feels like a new wounding. His Spirit grieves our spirit to make joy durable. He will not let you skate over the thin ice of forgetfulness; He will walk you down into the depths where the rot is, and cleanse it with burning holiness. That is the only true healing. A broken bone set wrong must be broken again to be right. So if your past sorrow or sin rears its head as you press forward, it may be His hand resetting what still needs mending. Let Him break what must be broken, for when He has finished, the bones He healed will shout for joy.

As for the wolves who wear the wool, the false brethren, the smooth-tongued tempters, He knows them. He knows your heart, even as He knew Peter’s thrice-denying heart, and yet loved him and drew him back with the same searching question, thrice driven home: “Lovest thou me?” Answer that, and let the answer brace you. When your eye is fixed on Him, the path clears. You ask for wisdom and direction to do His will. There is a blessed simplicity here. The will of God is not a tangled maze for the soul that submits already in the garden of its own Gethsemane, saying, “Not my will, but thine.” If you truly mean that, He will lead you in a plain path, though it be by the Red Sea’s edge with the enemy thundering behind. And what is His word to you there? Forward! Go forward. The sea will not part while you stand weeping on the shore. The comfort and the hope of the Scriptures are not found in poring over maps of the promised land from afar, but in striking the tent peg and marching.

The misery you remember with such pain, the sins that dog your conscience, do you think they are harder for you to forget than they are for Him to cleanse? You shall forget your misery; it shall pass like a torrent that rages for a night and is gone by morning, leaving only the fertilized ground behind. The past will not always shriek at you. There remains a rest, even here, when the heart has looked so steadily into the face of the Crucified that all other sights grow dim. Keep your ear quieted by His voice in the Scripture; turn from the din of your own thoughts and the siren songs of the world. He who gave you a heart to perceive and an ear to hear did not do so that you should go on in stupid contentment with your own wounds. He opened your ear that you might listen to the Divine call, not to every hollow echo. Therefore, trust Him. He that began this good work in you will perform it. The comfort is that He knows all things and loves you still. Forward, then, into the upward call. He who gives the command will give the strength. He who promises the comfort will be the comfort itself.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
