🙇🏻 Forgetting what lies behind and Moving Forward towards what is ahead, Phil 3:13-14, Protection… Help in Time of Need, Heb 4:16…

Jesus, thank You for saying, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted," Mt 5:4. Thank You The Spirit of The LORD still binds up the brokenhearted, Isa 61:1. Asking You do me a favor -- Heal my heart, Isa 61:1, and mind, Isa 1:6 and show Yourself strong, 2 Chron 16:9. Help me forget the things that are behind (in a healthy way) in order to move ahead, Phil 3:13, even toward the upward call, Phil 3:14. Give me wisdom Col 4:12, and direction Prov 3:5-6, to know, Col 1:9, submit to and do Your will as Jesus did in the Garden, Mt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Lk 22:42.

Jesus, You said "My sheep hear my voice" Jn 10:27. Lead me by The Holy Spirit through any and every means to know, submit to and DO Your will, Rom 8:14. Keep me from those who profess to know God but by their deeds deny him, Tit 1:16, have a form of Godliness but deny its power, help me avoid such people as this, 2 Tim 3:5. Keep me from lies, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil people and imposters, 2 Thes 3:2, 2 Tim 3:13, temptation, Lk 11:4, temptation and the evil one, Mt 6:13, again, and the evil one, Jn 17:5, Jn 8:44, Rev 12:9, Rev 12:12, Rev 12:17. Thank you in Jesus’ Name, Phil 4:6-7.

We hear your cry, beloved child of God, and we stand with you in this season of mourning and seeking. Your heart’s plea is not lost on us, nor is it lost on our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not alone in your sorrow, for Jesus Himself declared, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). This is not a hollow promise, it is the very heart of God reaching out to bind up your wounds, as He has done for His people since the beginning (Isaiah 61:1).

You ask for healing of heart and mind, and we join you in crying out to the Great Physician, who alone can restore what has been broken. The Scriptures declare, "The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound" (Isaiah 61:1). This is the ministry of Jesus, and it is yours today. But healing is not just a passive receiving, it is also an active surrender. You must allow the Lord to expose the festering wounds so they can be cleansed, just as Isaiah 1:6 describes: "From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it: wounds, bruises, and open sores. They haven’t been closed, neither bandaged, neither soothed with oil." Do not fear this process, for the same Lord who reveals the wound is the One who heals it. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30), and He invites you to cast every care upon Him (1 Peter 5:7).

You express a desire to forget what lies behind and press forward toward the upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14). This is wisdom, for dwelling on the past, whether in regret, bitterness, or longing, only hinders the work God wants to do in you today. But we must clarify: forgetting the past in a healthy way does not mean suppressing pain or pretending it never happened. It means releasing its grip on your heart so that it no longer defines you. The Lord does not ask you to forget in order to dismiss your pain, but so that you may be free to receive His future for you. As you surrender the past, ask Him to show you what He is calling you to do in this season. Titus 3:14 reminds us, "Let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, so that they may not be unfruitful." Your healing is not just for your sake, it is so that you may be equipped to serve others in love.

You also seek wisdom and direction, and we rejoice in your hunger for the will of God. The Lord delights in giving wisdom to those who ask (James 1:5), and He has promised to guide you when you acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). But wisdom is not just knowledge, it is obedience. You referenced Genesis 18:22, where Abraham stood before the Lord, and we are reminded that true wisdom begins with reverence for God (Proverbs 9:10). Are you willing to obey, even when His will is difficult or unclear? Jesus modeled this perfectly in the Garden of Gethsemane, praying, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42). This must be your posture as well. The Holy Spirit will lead you (Romans 8:14), but you must be still enough to hear His voice (Psalm 46:10) and courageous enough to follow where He leads.

You express a deep desire to hear Jesus’ voice and be led by the Spirit, and this is a beautiful thing. But we must warn you: not every voice claiming to be spiritual is from God. You rightly ask to be kept from those who profess to know Him but deny Him by their deeds (Titus 1:16) and from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5). The enemy is a deceiver (John 8:44), and he will use even well-meaning people to lead you astray. Test every spirit (1 John 4:1), and cling to the truth of God’s Word. The sheep do hear the Shepherd’s voice (John 10:27), but they must also be discerning, for the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

We also lift up your plea for protection from sin, lies, and the evil one. You are engaged in a spiritual battle, whether you realize it or not. The enemy seeks to devour you (1 Peter 5:8), but the Lord has given you armor to stand firm (Ephesians 6:10-18). Do not underestimate the schemes of the devil, but do not fear him either, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). But resistance requires vigilance, put on the full armor of God daily, and walk in the light, for "if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together, where we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with the weight of this dear one’s sorrow, but also lifted by the hope we have in Christ Jesus. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask You now to bind up the brokenhearted places in this precious child of Yours. Where there is pain, bring Your peace. Where there is confusion, bring Your clarity. Where there is despair, bring Your hope. Lord, we declare that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in this believer (Romans 8:11), and we ask that You would quicken every dead place with Your life.

Father, we pray for the healing of mind and heart, as this one has asked. Cleanse every wound, every memory that haunts, every thought that does not align with Your truth. Renew their mind (Romans 12:2) and restore their soul (Psalm 23:3). Help them to forget what lies behind in the way You intend, not by denial, but by releasing the past into Your hands. Give them the strength to press forward toward the upward call, to run the race set before them with endurance (Hebrews 12:1).

Lord, we ask for wisdom, wisdom to know Your will, wisdom to walk in Your ways, and wisdom to discern the voices around them. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9), and let them walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:10). Teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

Protect them, Father, from the snares of the enemy. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Keep them from those who would lead them astray, from the lies of the evil one, and from the temptations that seek to ensnare. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, that they may be strengthened in the faith. Deliver them from evil, as Your Son taught us to pray (Matthew 6:13), and let them walk in the victory that is already theirs in Christ.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this dear one would know You more deeply. Draw them close, that they may hear Your voice and follow You with all their heart. Let them experience the comfort that only You can give, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and the joy that comes from abiding in Your presence. May they not only know Your will but do it, with a heart fully surrendered to You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His power that we live and move and have our being. May this one walk in the fullness of what Christ has purchased for them, and may they bring glory to Your name in all they do.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, that longing to be truly healed, not just distracted, and to move forward without losing the pieces of yourself that pain has shaped. Mourning is a holy time, not a spiritual failure, and it’s okay if the process feels slow or uneven. You’re not letting go of something trivial; you’re asking God to tend deep places, and He does that gently.

One thing that may help is to give yourself permission to grieve without rushing to “forget.” Healthy forgetting isn’t erasing, it’s when a memory stops piercing and starts becoming a scar that no longer bleeds. In the quiet, you can even tell Jesus, “This still hurts, meet me here.” He doesn’t flinch at our sorrow; He draws near.

You also asked for wisdom and clear direction to know and do God’s will. That often comes less like a loud voice and more like a steady inner inclination toward life, toward peace, and away from confusion. It can help to run your next small steps through a simple filter: Does this lead me toward greater love for God and others, or toward isolation and fear? The people you sense you should avoid, trust that discernment, but don’t let it consume your focus. Keep your eyes on the Shepherd, not on the wolves.

We’re praying with you now.

Jesus, thank You for blessing those who mourn, not because their pain is good, but because You are with them in it. Comfort our friend in the hollow places of the heart, and bring the kind of healing that doesn’t pretend the past away but makes it bearable and even redemptive. Grant steady wisdom for each day’s choices, and quiet the noise so Your voice can be heard. Shield from evil, both within and without, and keep this dear one safe in Your care. Amen.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted, this is the very word of your Lord, and He is faithful that promised. The Spirit of the Lord is still upon Him to bind up the brokenhearted, and He will do it for you, even as He has done for many a weeping soul in this house of prayer. You cry for a healed heart and a sound mind; bring both to Him whose own heart was broken for you. On the tree He bore the full weight of sin and sorrow, and from that riven side there flows a balm that can reach the deepest wound. Do not look within to measure your grief, but look away to the Healer; best of all, He knows what despair means, and He will not quench the smoking flax.

You ask to forget the things that are behind and to press forward. That is the cry of the Spirit-born soul. Forward! Forward! is the Master’s command to every one of His chosen captains. Let the dead past bury its dead; the guilt Christ has buried, the sorrow He will turn into songs of deliverance. Only beware of a heart that lacks tenderness. Without a heart to perceive the presence of God, the eye cannot see nor the ear hear the wonders of His grace. Seek from Him that sensitive heart which trembles at His Word and rejoices in His love, a heart that learns the lessons He teaches in the dark, and so moves from one grace to another, not from sin to sin.

You plead for wisdom to know and do His will. True obedience is the very essence of the divine life, and its beauty is in its exactness. Turn not to the right hand or to the left. The path of obedience is a middle path, and the way to discover the mind of the Lord is not by watching omens or the shifting shadows of Providence, but by searching the Scriptures with a humble and teachable spirit. As soon as you hear His voice, obey promptly; there is no need of a long probation. The sheep know the Shepherd’s voice, and they follow because they know it. He will lead you by the Spirit, but He will not drag you against your own will; yield it up wholly, as your Master in Gethsemane laid His own will at the Father’s feet.

You ask protection from evil men and the evil one. Remember, the heart is deceitful above all things, and out of it proceed all manner of foul streams. If the Lord should keep you from external tempters, yet the enemy within is enough to make you cling hourly to the cross. But He who loved you when your heart was full of evil thoughts and all manner of uncleanness, He will not let you go. He will blow with His wind, and the sea shall cover your foes. Though the green tree seems to flourish for a season, the death warrant has gone out from God against all that is of the creature; but blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

Only keep your heart tender, your eye fixed on the invisible, and your ear open to the still small voice. Then, though the bones are broken and the spirit is faint, He will make the dry bones live, and you shall yet hear the watchword “Forward!” at the brim of the Jordan. Press on; forget; reach forth; and soon you shall enter the gates of the City with the blood-washed throng, singing of Him who has led you in obedience and crowned your mourning with joy everlasting. Amen and Amen.

Amen. Father please do this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen

The pain you feel, the mourning of your heart, is not a sign of God’s absence but of His merciful surgery. For affliction, when it is received, does a remarkable work: it cuts off the soul’s ties to the present world and makes it long for true rest. The soul that is at ease is fluttered and unsettled, but the one harassed by evils becomes urgent for quiet, for God. This very distress is what makes you hear the preaching with longing and receive comfort. God permits trials to stir us up and make us more energetic, and He Himself will make the way of escape so that you can bear them. So do not seek merely to have the sorrow removed; seek to learn from it. The broken heart becomes a school of philosophy, and the mind that is weary of present things is half-way toward wisdom.

You ask to forget the things behind in a healthy way and move forward. Then understand this: the affliction you want healed is the very medicine that loosens your grip on the past. When the soul is deeply troubled, it no longer hankers after former things, nor clings to the present life as if it were immortal. This is the greatest part of wisdom, to desire stillness, to be content to have done with what lies behind, even if nothing else seems to follow. The athlete does not grow strong by avoiding the contest; he exercises with bags of sand. Life is full of things that exercise you and make you strong. The tree shaken by winds becomes firmer. So let this trial do its work, and you will find yourself moving forward not by your own force, but by the detachment that sorrow itself produces.

For the wisdom and direction you seek, know what true wisdom is. Wisdom is not cleverness of words or human sophistry; it is virtue. Lowliness of mind, almsgiving, pity, the befriending of the naked and famished, these are wisdom. The wise man knows what things are divine and what are human. He keeps himself from the one and bestows his pains on the other. He is neither puffed up by prosperity nor crushed by adversity, because he considers the present life as nothing. He gives thanks in all things. Do you want direction? Then inscribe the law of God on your heart. Come continually to this house of healing, hear the laws of the Spirit, and on returning home write down in your mind the things you have heard. A soul that ever hangs over this fountain will, amidst all storm and surge, enjoy a great calm.

You ask for protection from evil people, impostors, and the evil one. Here is your shelter. When the devil sees the king’s writing, not on a pillar of brass, but stamped by the Holy Ghost on a mind loving God and bright with grace, he cannot even look at it, but from afar turns his back. Nothing is so terrible to him as a soul careful about divine matters. But you must not merely wait for protection; you must actively guard the tablet of your heart. Keep yourself from those who profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds, for their company sullies the inscription. If you would avoid temptation, let your conscience be pure. A pure conscience testifies that we suffer not for evil-doing but for what pleases God, and this is comfort and a crown.

You prayed to hear the voice of Jesus and to do His will. Do not despise the ordinary means. He speaks in the Scriptures, in the teaching of the Church, in the quiet writing on the soul that comes from obeying what you already know. The woman at the well did not shout, “Believe!” but gently said, “Come, see.” She led others to taste the same Well. So you, go often to that Well yourself, and your own obedience will become a light. Do not seek extraordinary signs while neglecting the plain command: to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and show long-suffering to those who grieve you. For to love the unthankful and evil is not a burden but an opportunity for crowns. Take away the contestant, and you take away the crown. So bless those who are hostile, be subject to the free as counting them better than yourself, and you will find that in doing these things your direction becomes clear.

Finally, do not shrink from the judgment of God, but let it be a comfort. A token of righteous judgment awaits both those who do the ill and those who endure it in faith. Your part is to endure with humility, knowing that your work is not in vain. When Christ the King shall say to those who neglected Him in the needy, “Depart from me,” they will have no defense. But your comfort stands in this: a pure conscience and a life that, however weak, clings to His mercy and obeys His word. Go forward, then, not in the wisdom of the flesh, but in the grace of the Spirit, and the divided heart will be healed, the past will lose its sting, and the upward call will grow clearer with every step.
