Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in thanking God for His mercy in ending those months of silence and for granting restored time with your son. Everything God does does last forever, and we praise Him that He has given you some peace and a measure of restoration to care for your youngster. We pray with you that what has been agreed upon for his well being would be honored and implemented faithfully, and that the set hours for video time would be respected so that you can fulfill your responsibilities and your son can be nurtured in a stable, loving way.

We also hear your deep concern for your marriage and for your wife. Scripture is clear and loving in its warning. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, becoming one flesh by God's design, and what God has joined together we are called to guard. The Lord taught that whoever looks with lust has already committed adultery in the heart, and that unfaithfulness breaks that one flesh union. As the Scriptures you cited remind us, those who practice adultery and sexual immorality, who sow to the flesh and love to live in a lie, place themselves outside the Kingdom unless they repent. This is not said to condemn without hope, but to call us to the seriousness of sin, for the same God who judges is rich in mercy and calls all to repentance.

We pray with you that the Holy Spirit would do His work of conviction, as Jesus promised, to convince of sin and righteousness and judgment. We ask that God would hedge the way that leads to sin with thorns, not to harm but to block the path to false lovers and idols, so that she cannot find satisfaction there and would come to her senses as the prodigal did, seeing her sin against God and against others and returning in true repentance. True repentance is more than tears or regret. It is godly sorrow that works a change of mind and life unto salvation without regret, a turning of the heart back to God and to what is right. The Church is a spiritual bath where God wipes away stains of the soul through sincere repentance and faith in Christ, who alone saves through His blood.

We pray that God would turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, softening hearts toward Him and toward the responsibilities He has given, as He turned hearts through Elijah that the people might know that the Lord is God. We ask that He would grant grace to forsake social media and dating sites and every entanglement that belongs outside the marriage covenant, and to pursue purity and faithfulness. We do not ask God to bless any relationship that breaks His design for marriage, but we do ask Him to bless repentance, reconciliation, and holiness, and to keep you, your wife, and your son from evil, from deception, from temptation and from the evil one. May He be your Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep and keeps those who trust Him.

For your video times together, we pray that the Lord would make His will and love fruitful and evident. May your son see in you a gracious and compassionate view of God, who is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and may he be brought up in the training and instruction of the Lord, learning to love God with all his heart and to love others, gaining the wisdom of the Scriptures which are able to make him wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. We pray that you both would learn to listen well, to hold your tongues when tempted to speak harshly, to hold nothing against one another but to entrust each other into God's hands, and to show honor and respect before your child, as those who are called to peace and to be peacemakers.

We ask the Lord to use every lawful means, pastors, friends, family, believers, and His own kindness, to pursue the wandering one as a shepherd seeks the one lost sheep, covering a multitude of sins by fervent love and leading to repentance. May He grant you wisdom to moderate all influences, to protect your son from spiritual harm and deception, and to keep your home under the protection of Christ.

We will continue to pray that you keep your first love first, abiding in fellowship with the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit, freely receiving His love and freely pouring that love upon your children, trusting that God weaves both hardships and refreshments together for the good of those who love Him. May He grant you humility like a little child, meekness and mercy, and strength to walk faithfully one day at a time.

In the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our peace, Amen.

Giving thanks with you for what God has done in ending a long season of silence and opening a door for peace and for video time together with your son. That is a gracious gift, and it is right to thank Him for it, for what God does endures, and His mercies are meant to lead us to walk more closely with Him. Praying that the peace He has begun will continue, that the agreed times would be honored and kept with consistency, and that these times would be fruitful for your son's well being and for his growth in knowing the Lord.

The burden you carry for your wife is heard, and it is brought before the Lord with both love and truth. Scripture is clear from beginning to end that God calls every person to repentance. John came preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, Jesus Himself came calling sinners to repentance, and when He spoke to the churches in Revelation His call again was to repent and turn. That call is not harsh but loving, because God does not desire that anyone perish but that all would come to repentance, and heaven rejoices when one truly turns back to Him. True repentance is more than words, it is a change of heart and direction that shows itself in a changed life and in restoration.

Sin is first against God, as David confessed, and that is why only God can forgive and cleanse through Jesus Christ. Jesus came as the physician for the sick, and He came to call sinners to repentance. When hearts turn, the evidence is a turning away from what is wrong and a turning toward what is right. In your situation this means praying that the Holy Spirit would bring deep conviction of sin, that He would open eyes to see deception for what it is, and that He would turn a disobedient heart toward the wisdom and attitude of the righteous. As you prayed from Luke 1:17, that turning of hearts back to God and to His ways is the work only God can do, like He did through Elijah when the people were called to know that the Lord is God and to have their hearts turned back again.

Because marriage is a lifelong covenant before God between one man and one woman, and because sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant, we cannot ask God to bless involvement with social media or dating sites that pursue relationships outside of marriage. Instead we join you in asking God to grant wisdom and grace to turn away from those things entirely. Scripture warns plainly that those who practice adultery and sexual immorality, who sow to the flesh, reap destruction, and that such deeds keep people outside the kingdom unless they are washed and forgiven in Christ. The loving prayer is for repentance, for the way to be hedged so that chasing after what is false becomes impossible, for coming to the senses like the prodigal who saw his sin against both God and others and returned home, and for finding forgiveness and a new life through the gospel that calls all people everywhere to repent and believe.

Praying also for your son, that the Lord as the Good Shepherd would keep him from evil, from temptation, from deception and from the influence of the evil one, and that your time together would help plant in him a true view of God as gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, so that he may learn to love God with all his heart and to love others, and be brought up in righteousness and in the wisdom of the Scriptures which are able to make him wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

And praying for you, that you would keep your first love first, living in fellowship with the Father and with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, freely receiving His love and pouring it out on your children. Asking that God would help you both to learn to understand one another, to guard your tongues, to hold nothing against each other but to entrust one another into His hands, and to show honor and respect before your son in a way that reflects Christ. May the Lord overrule the pressures of the world, subdue the flesh, and restrain the work of the enemy, and give you wisdom to walk in peace as those called to peace.

May the Lord continue to use whatever means He chooses, through His Word, through other believers, through kindness, to seek what is lost and to cover a multitude of sins through fervent love and truth, and may He grant repentance that leads to life. We ask for His protection for you, your son, and your wife from evil, from evil people, from falsehood and from the evil one, and that you all would be kept in the hand of the Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep and gives eternal life to those who hear His voice and follow Him. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting His promise that what we ask in His name according to His will, He hears.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your thanksgiving for the blessed video times and for the peace and restoration after four months of silence, remembering that everything God does lasts forever Ecc 3:14. We are still standing with you for the well being of your youngster and for the agreement you mentioned to be fully implemented as God has called us to peace 1 Cor 7:15, and for your fellowship to remain rooted in your first Love with grace to love your children well 2 Cor 13:14 and to bring your son up in righteousness Eph 6:4.

We also continue to agree with you for the Holy Spirit's work to turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the just Lk 1:17, for the set hours for video time to be respected, for hearts to be concerned out of love and not for money, and for the hedge of thorns Hos 2:6, the conviction of the Holy Spirit Jn 16:8, and the coming to her senses and repentance like the prodigal Luke 15:17. We are asking with you for protection from temptation and from the evil one Matt 6:13, Jn 17:15, for the moderating of social media and for the Lord to restrain the world, the flesh and the devil Rev 20:1-2, and to turn hearts back again as in the days of Elijah 1 Kings 18:37.

If your request was answered and you have seen continued peace, respected video times, smoother calls, and softened hearts toward God and toward His authority, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been fully answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name for you and your youngster to be kept from evil and deception, to freely receive His love and to walk in the wisdom found in Scripture 2 Tim 3:15, trusting our Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep John 10:14. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
