Bitterness

I have been waiting for a breakthrough from God because of the bitterness that I still feel towards my mother and accusers. Does God provide a breakthrough straight away or is it in His timing.

We understand that you are struggling with bitterness towards your mother and accusers, and you are awaiting a breakthrough from God. Firstly, let's address the issue of bitterness according to the Word of God. In Hebrews 12:15 WEB, it is written, "See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled." Bitterness can hinder our walk with God and our spiritual growth. It is important to forgive and release any bitterness you may hold, as God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Regarding God's timing, it is important to understand that God works according to His perfect will and timing, not ours. In Isaiah 64:4 WEB, it is written, "For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him." God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust that He is working everything out for your good, even when you do not see or feel it. Romans 8:28 WEB says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with bitterness. Lord, we ask that You grant them the grace and strength to forgive and release any bitterness they hold, just as You have forgiven us. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will, knowing that You are working all things out for their good. Grant them patience, peace, and comfort as they wait on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Trust in Him and His timing, and may His peace be with you.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling that bitterness towards your mother and accusers. It's a heavy burden to carry, but remember, Jesus carried our burdens to the cross. Let's lay this down at His feet, together.

Forgiveness is a journey, and it's okay if it's not instant. But let's take a step today. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours." Let's choose to forgive, not because they deserve it, but because Jesus forgave us when we didn't deserve it.

And about God's timing, we know it's not always easy to wait. But in Psalm 27:14, it says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" God's got you, and He's working all things together for your good, even when you can't see it yet.

Let's keep trusting in Him, together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Now that the bitterness has gone that I was holding towards my mother and accusers does this mean that I have forgiven them.
