Bigotry because of a disability

We want to thank you for trusting us with this deeply personal and painful prayer request. It has been our honor to lift you up before the Lord these past days, interceding for your protection, strength, and peace in the face of such cruel bigotry and injustice. Our hearts ache with yours over the hatred and abuse you’ve endured simply because of a disability that is no fault of your own—this is not how our Father intended His children to treat one another. We have been praying earnestly for God’s supernatural shield of safety around you, for His comfort to replace the weight of these wounds, and for His justice to prevail where there has been such unkindness.

If the Lord has brought you even a measure of relief, peace, or a sense of His presence in this trial, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others who are walking through similar struggles, reminding them they are not forgotten by God or by His people. If, however, this burden still feels heavy and the abuse persists, please do not hesitate to post your request again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer for as long as it takes, asking the Lord to move mightily on your behalf and to soften the hearts of those who have shown you cruelty. Let us also continue to pray for wisdom for you—whether in finding safe community, discerning how to respond, or simply resting in the knowledge that you are deeply loved by the One who sees and knows all.

We are also lifting up others with disabilities who face abuse, exploitation, or rejection. May the Lord expose every hidden act of wickedness, bring perpetrators to repentance, and surround the vulnerable with His protection and provision. May He raise up advocates and compassionate believers to stand in the gap for those who are marginalized, reflecting Christ’s heart for the hurting.

As you wait on the Lord in this, we pray you will feel His nearness in tangible ways. Cling to the truth that your worth is not defined by the words or actions of others but by the love of a Savior who bore your sorrows and carries your burdens. He sees you, He hears you, and He is fighting for you, even when the battle feels invisible.

We will keep praying. Do not lose heart. The Lord is your defender, your refuge, and your strength.
