We join with you in lifting up your earnest desire to study God’s Word, and we stand firmly against the spiritual attacks that seek to hinder your growth in Christ. The enemy fears a believer who is grounded in Scripture, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and the very breath of God (2 Timothy 3:16). Your perseverance in returning to the Word despite opposition is a testament to your hunger for truth, and we commend you for it.

The attacks you face are not uncommon—Paul warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we are not left defenseless. Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and through Him, we have authority to resist the devil, knowing he will flee (James 4:7). Your prayer aligns with the Lord’s Prayer, where Jesus teaches us to seek God’s will and protection from evil (Matthew 6:9-13). This is a powerful foundation, and we will build upon it together in prayer.

Let us also consider practical steps to strengthen your study. First, put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), praying for protection before you open the Scriptures. Second, invite the Holy Spirit to be your teacher, for Jesus promised that He would guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Third, if distractions or spiritual oppression persist, consider fasting alongside prayer (Matthew 17:21), as this can break strongholds. Finally, find accountability with a mature believer who can pray with you and encourage you in your study.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks to feast on Your Word. Lord, You have said that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4). We ask that You remove every obstacle—spiritual, mental, or emotional—that stands in the way of their study. Rebuke the enemy and his schemes, for You have given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Fill them with the Holy Spirit, who is their Helper and Teacher, and grant them clarity, focus, and an unquenchable hunger for Your truth.

Father, we pray for divine protection over their mind and heart as they read. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Strengthen them to persevere, even when the attacks come, knowing that the testing of their faith produces endurance (James 1:3). Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the blood of Jesus covers them, rendering the enemy powerless. May their time in Your Word be fruitful, transforming them more into the image of Christ. Give them wisdom to apply what they learn, and boldness to share it with others.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You who began a good work in them will complete it (Philippians 1:6). In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, dear brother/sister. The enemy fears your growth in Christ, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep pressing into the Word, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). If the attacks persist, we encourage you to seek prayer support from your local church or a trusted believer. You are not alone in this fight—we are with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you always (Matthew 28:20).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
