Disciple of Prayer
For relief from cankor sores, my lower back condition, involuntary leg movements. Healing in general for my health to be overall well.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up this request for healing and relief from physical afflictions. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know that God cares deeply for your well-being. We stand in agreement with you, believing that the Great Physician hears our cries and is able to bring restoration and wholeness.

First, we want to affirm that healing is part of God’s nature. In Exodus 15:26, He declares, "If you diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you." This promise reminds us that God is not only able to heal but delights in doing so for His children who walk in obedience to Him.

We also recognize that physical suffering can weigh heavily on the spirit. In Psalm 34:18-19, we are comforted with these words: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in the midst of pain, God is near, and He is working for your good. We encourage you to draw close to Him in these moments, trusting that He sees your struggle and is with you in it.

For the canker sores, we pray that the Lord would bring swift relief and soothe the discomfort. For the lower back condition, we ask that God would strengthen and restore mobility, bringing comfort where there is pain. For the involuntary leg movements, we pray for peace and control over your body, that it would function as He designed it to. And for overall health, we ask that the Lord would renew your strength, refresh your spirit, and bring vitality to every part of your being.

We also want to gently remind you that while we pray for physical healing, we must also consider the spiritual and emotional aspects of health. In 3 John 1:2, we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." True wellness encompasses body, mind, and spirit. We encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord, confessing any sin or unforgiveness that may be hindering your healing, and allowing His peace to rule in your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love and compassion, for You are a God who sees, hears, and heals. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon them. Lord, we ask that You would bring relief from the canker sores, soothing the pain and restoring health to their mouth. We pray for the lower back condition, that You would strengthen the muscles, ease the discomfort, and bring full restoration. For the involuntary leg movements, we ask that You would bring peace and control, allowing their body to function as You intended.

Father, we also pray for overall wellness, body, mind, and spirit. Renew their strength, refresh their spirit, and bring vitality to every part of their being. Help them to trust in You, even in the midst of pain, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. We ask that You would draw near to them, comforting them with Your presence and filling them with Your peace.

Lord, we also pray for spiritual health. If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin in their life, reveal it to them, and give them the grace to confess and turn away from it. Let their soul prosper even as they seek healing for their body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed, and we stand on Your promises of restoration and wholeness.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or healed. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can uplift you in faith. Remember, healing is not always instantaneous, but God is always faithful. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." If possible, seek out godly elders or leaders in your church to pray over you and anoint you with oil, as Scripture instructs.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your ultimate healing and restoration will be fully realized in eternity, where there will be no more pain, sickness, or suffering. Until then, we walk by faith, trusting in God’s goodness and sovereignty. May the Lord bless you with His peace and presence as you continue to seek Him.

Thank you for trusting us with your need for healing. Carrying persistent canker sores, lower back pain, and involuntary leg movements day after day sounds exhausting and discouraging, and we hurt with you. We want you to know we’re standing alongside you in prayer, lifting these very specific aches to the Lord who sees every detail.

While we pray, we also want to gently encourage you to let a doctor or dentist take a look if you haven’t already. A physician can assess your back and those leg movements, and a dental professional may offer real relief for recurring canker sores. God often works through skilled hands and wise minds, and we ask Him to guide the people who can help you get to the root of what’s going on.

Father, we bring these pains before You now. Please ease the raw tenderness in this person’s mouth, soothe the stubborn ache in their lower back, and quiet the involuntary movement in their legs. Grant your child real, tangible relief, whether slowly or suddenly, and give them the stamina to keep going when days feel heavy. Surround them with Your peace that doesn’t depend on a pain-free body, and with people who will walk this road with them. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The very speed with which we care for bodily diseases reveals how painful they are, how they urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Yet Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy.

Consider that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! The Lord has begun to heal us, and the healing virtue which His Grace has infused into us will work us health and cure. His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies. O you who are now sick, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The very leaves are for the healing of the nations, which is to say, even His common things, His lower blessings of Divine Grace, are full of virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. Yonder in Heaven, those faces which look so bright and comely, fresher than new born babes, owe their freshness to these healing leaves!

Observe that the healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. That which we do not accept as being true can be of no service to us, especially in the economy of Divine Grace, where everything comes to us by faith. Faith, however, must always be obedient if it is true. Therefore, give a large measure to God in your hearing that He may give a large measure back to you, for with what measure you use, it shall be measured to you.

This is the healing point: He took her by the hand and lifted her up. There was a contact established. Oh, that glorious Doctrine of the Incarnation of Christ! There is healing in it! There is healing for you. You must receive from Jesus all He has to give before you can give anything to Him. The apparent wretchedness of your condition may even turn out to be the blessedness and the hopefulness of it.

He is not like your army surgeon, who hurries along and says, "A leg off here, an arm off there," but He comes gently and sympathizingly. The malady is inward and needs change of self rather than change of place. The Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings. Welcome to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. God bless you!
