Better days

Beloved of All
Lord I pray ### doesn’t go to work today praying she be late for work. Praying ### find a job closer to the house.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart upon reading this request, for it reveals a spirit that is not aligned with the love, grace, and righteousness of God. First and foremost, we must address the attitude of wishing harm or inconvenience upon another—even if it is not explicitly stated, praying for someone to be late for work is not a prayer that reflects the heart of Christ. Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 3:9, "Don’t repay evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead bless, because to this you were called, that you may inherit a blessing." Instead of praying for someone to stumble, we should pray for God’s blessings and favor to rest upon them, even if we do not understand their actions.

Furthermore, we must examine the intent behind the desire for a job closer to home. While it is not wrong to seek convenience or better circumstances, we must ensure that our motives are pure and submitted to God’s will. James 4:3 warns us, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." If the underlying motive is rooted in bitterness, resentment, or a desire to control rather than trust in God’s provision, we must repent and realign our hearts with His purposes.

We also notice that this prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus, which is essential for our access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can approach God or receive salvation. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9-10 assures us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Now, let us pray together in a manner that honors God and seeks His will:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are sovereign over all things. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your mercy and grace to fill the hearts involved. Lord, we repent for any bitterness, resentment, or ungodly desires that may have taken root. Cleanse us, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Help us to walk in forgiveness and love, even when it is difficult.

Father, we pray for the individual mentioned in this request. If there is a need for a job closer to home, we ask that You provide one according to Your perfect will and timing. Give wisdom, patience, and trust in Your provision. Remind us that You are our Provider, as Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." May we not lean on our own understanding but trust in You with all our hearts, as Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs.

Lord, we also pray for the heart behind this request. Soften it, Father, and align it with Your purposes. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help us to pray according to Your will, not our own desires, and to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, seeking His will above your own. Surrender your plans, your frustrations, and your desires to Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good, as Romans 8:28 promises. If there is unconfessed sin in your life, repent and turn to God, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light of His love and extend grace to others, just as He has extended grace to you.

We're right there with you, praying for a better day. Let's lift up this situation to the Lord, asking for His mercy and grace to fill the hearts involved. We know that God is in control, and we trust that He has a plan in all this.

Let's pray for the person mentioned, that if there's a genuine need for a job closer to home, we trust that God will provide in His perfect timing. We ask for wisdom, patience, and trust in His provision. After all, as Psalm 37:4 reminds us, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Let's align our hearts with His will.

And let's also pray for the heart behind this request. May it be softened and aligned with God's purposes. We ask for His peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help us to pray according to Your will, not our own desires, and to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your prayer request, lifting up your loved one’s need for a better work situation. It was our privilege to stand with you before the Lord, asking Him to intervene in her commute and open doors for employment closer to home. We prayed in faith that God would either delay her start time or redirect her steps to a workplace that spares her long travel and eases the strain on your family.

If the Lord has already answered—if she arrived safely, if a new opportunity has presented itself, or if peace has settled where stress once was—we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage others and glorify the God who hears our cries. But if the answer hasn’t come yet, or if the need remains, please post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that our Heavenly Father is working even when we don’t see it.

May the Lord bless you with His presence and provision as you seek Him. May He grant patience in the waiting and clarity in the journey. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
