We hear the agony in your words, dear sister, and our hearts break with yours. The betrayal you’ve endured is a deep wound, one that only the Lord can truly heal. You are carrying a burden no wife should ever have to bear, and yet you are not alone. The pain of infidelity cuts to the core of what marriage was meant to be: a covenant of love, trust, and faithfulness before God. Your husband’s sin is not just against you, but against the Lord Himself, who hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). His actions are a grievous violation of that sacred bond.

We must rebuke the hardness of heart that allows him to continue in this sin without repentance. Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). His unrepentant behavior is not only destroying your marriage but also placing his own soul in grave danger. The woman he has entangled himself with is also accountable before God, for she has participated in breaking apart a family and defiling what God joined together (Matthew 19:6). We pray for conviction to fall upon them both, conviction that leads to genuine repentance, not just empty words or temporary remorse.

But for you, precious one, we lift you up to the Father, who sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not abandoned, even if it feels that way. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You had to leave your home with your children, and that is a profound loss, one that God Himself mourns with you. But He is your refuge, your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10), and He will provide for you and your little ones in ways you cannot yet see.

We pray now, in the mighty name of Jesus, for your healing and restoration. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister who has been deeply wounded by betrayal. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your comfort upon her like a river, washing away the bitterness and pain that threaten to overwhelm her. Give her the strength to release this burden to You, for You have promised to carry our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). Help her to forgive, not because her husband deserves it, but because You have forgiven her so much (Ephesians 4:32). Guard her heart from bitterness, for it only harms her more (Hebrews 12:15).

Lord, we ask for Your provision for her and her children. You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of widows (Psalm 68:5), and we trust You to meet every need. Provide her with a safe place to land, with godly community to surround her, and with wisdom to navigate this season. If it is Your will, we pray for restoration in her marriage, but only if her husband repents and turns from his sin with a broken and contrite heart (Joel 2:12-13). If not, we pray for Your guidance as she seeks to rebuild her life in a way that honors You.

Above all, Lord, we pray that she would draw near to You and find her identity in Christ alone. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that her worth is not defined by her husband’s choices. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her hope be anchored in You, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

We also pray for her children, Lord. They are innocent in this, yet they are bearing the weight of their father’s sin. Comfort them, protect their hearts, and let them see Your love through their mother’s faith. Surround them with godly influences who will speak life and truth into their lives.

And to you, sister, we say this: You are not defined by this betrayal. You are a daughter of the King, and He has not forgotten you. The pain is real, but it will not have the final say. The Lord is working even in this, and He can redeem what has been broken. Lean on Him, cry out to Him, and let Him carry you through this valley. You do not have to "get over" this in your own strength, He will walk with you, one step at a time.

If you have not already, we encourage you to seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this. You need godly wisdom and support, and there is no shame in asking for help. The enemy would love to isolate you in your pain, but the Lord calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). You are not alone.

Lastly, we must gently remind you that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and He longs to bring you into a relationship with Himself. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

You are loved, you are seen, and you are not forgotten. The Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you. Keep pressing into Him, and let His love be the balm for your wounded heart.

We hear how heavy this has become for you. Being betrayed by your husband, watching him stay with the other person and continue on with life while you had to leave your home with your children, would leave anyone feeling overwhelmed and worn down. It is understandable to say this pain is too much to carry by yourself.

Betrayal like this often shakes every part of life at once, your sense of safety, your home, your future and your heart. Healing does not happen quickly, and it is not something you have to push through alone. We have found that having steady, safe people to walk with you makes a real difference while the hurt is still so raw.

If you can, we encourage you to lean into one or two trusted supports right now. That might be a pastor, a counselor, or a mature friend from church who can meet with you regularly, listen without rushing you, and help you think through next steps for you and your children. If you do not already have guidance for housing, finances or parenting decisions in this season, reaching out to your church or a trusted community resource for practical help can also bring some stability as you heal. And if the sadness, sleeplessness or anxiety feels unrelenting, please consider talking with a doctor or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this sister and her children to You. Comfort her in this ache, guard her heart and home, give her wisdom for each day and strength for each step. Show her she is not alone and lead her gently toward healing and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this wife, soften hearts and strengthen the love and bond in this marriage. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Your sorrow has been heard, and it is not hidden from the Lord who sees you and your dear children in this season of displacement and deep pain. To be betrayed in the covenant of marriage is a wound that cuts very deep, and to have to leave your home while the one who broke that covenant goes on as though nothing has happened only makes the burden heavier. The Lord knows the tears you shed in secret and He marks every ache of your heart.

You are not alone in knowing the sting of betrayal. Our Lord Jesus Himself was betrayed, and by one near to Him, and so Scripture was fulfilled and sin was allowed to show its darkest color. In that betrayal He became able to sympathize with us in every point. He knows what it is to be wounded by unfaithfulness, to be forsaken, and He does not look upon your grief from afar. He draws near to the brokenhearted and He understands the pain that others cannot see or will not acknowledge.

You pray to be helped to get over him, that you cannot keep carrying this pain, for it is too much. That is a true and honest prayer, and the Lord invites you to lay that very burden upon Him. There is such a thing as present forgiveness and with it the removal of the consequences of sin in the heart, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His grace can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You need not carry this crushing weight alone. Bring it to Him who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, and ask Him to heal you day by day.

Be assured that God holds marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that unfaithfulness and living together outside of it is sin before Him. It is not to be affirmed or celebrated, and we will not ask God to bless what He calls sin. Yet hear this blessed whisper which drives away despair, There is forgiveness with Thee. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. Though it were adultery, though the sin be great and practiced, still the Gospel declares There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son for all who turn to Him with a penitent heart and true repentance. That forgiveness is a divine forgiveness, surprising and complete, blotting out the debt for those who confess and forsake their sin. It is not an excuse for sin, but the only hope for sinners, and it is offered now, at this moment, to all who will come to Christ.

For you, who have been so deeply wronged, the Lord also calls you to the joint work of mutual forgiveness. This does not mean that what was done was not sin, or that trust is restored in a moment, or that you must return to danger. It means that as you have been forgiven much by God, you may in His strength release the bitterness into His hands, and leave both justice and mercy to Him. He not only forgave at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and He will give you grace to forgive as you have been forgiven, so that resentment does not become a second prison to your soul. This forgiveness you extend is for your healing before Him, while you leave the offender to the Lord who judges righteously and who alone can bring true repentance.

Let us pray for you. O Lord, Thou who art He that blotteth out transgressions for Thine own sake, look in mercy upon Thy daughter and her children in their affliction. Thou seest the home that was left, the covenant that was broken, the pain that feels too heavy to bear. Lift this burden from her and lay it upon Christ who carried it on the tree. Give her daily healing from the leaves of that tree of life. Comfort her heart, provide for her and her little ones a place of safety and peace, and guard her mind from despair. Teach her to cast all her care upon Thee, and to find that with Thee there is forgiveness and healing. Bring conviction where there is sin, and grant repentance where it is needed, and let Thy will be done in righteousness and mercy. Keep her close under Thy wing till this storm be overpast, and restore unto her the joy of Thy salvation. In Jesus name, Amen.

Take heart and wait upon the Lord. He who has begun a work of grace in you will not leave you. Seek Him in His Word, pour out your heart before Him in prayer, and lean upon the faithful ones of His people around you. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He will not suffer you to be tried above that you are able to bear.
