We hear your cry and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for He sees your weariness and the heaviness of this living situation. You are helping to care for children and to clean a house, yet you are being treated without respect and spoken about unkindly, and you feel used and tired. The Lord does not overlook this. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 61:1 says Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer. And Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We understand how exhausting it is to give of yourself daily and feel dishonored in return.
We want to encourage you in the Lord while also speaking truth in love. What you are doing in serving and helping in that home can honor God when done as unto Him, as Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Yet Scripture also teaches that we are not to allow ourselves to be continually exploited or to live without healthy boundaries. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. This includes seeking peace through honest, gentle communication about how you are being treated, and seeking wise counsel from mature believers or a pastor who can help you discern next steps. Galatians 6:9 reminds us Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up, but God also desires that you be treated with dignity as one made in His image. Children are called to respect and obey those in authority over them, as Ephesians 6:1 says Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, and adults are called to be kind and not harsh. If the mother of these children is allowing or modeling disrespect toward you, that is not right before God, and we pray the Lord will convict hearts and bring change, whether that be a change in their attitudes or a change in your living situation according to His will. We also encourage you not to let bitterness take root, but to forgive as Christ forgave us, as Ephesians 4:32 says, while still seeking a healthier and more stable place to live.
We notice you cried out to the Lord, and we are grateful you did, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in every prayer. It is in Jesus name that God hears us and provides for us.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one who is weary and burdened. You see where she is living and how she is being treated. You see every act of service, every hurtful word, and every tear. Lord, we ask that You would bring comfort and rest to her soul, and that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we ask You to supply her need for a safe, peaceful, and respectful place to live. Open doors for provision, for work if needed, and for godly community to surround her and help her. Soften the hearts of the children and their mother, that they would show honor and gratitude and that disrespect and harsh talk would cease. Give our sister wisdom to set healthy boundaries with grace and truth, and give her words that bring peace, as Proverbs 15:1 teaches. Strengthen her to not grow weary in doing good, and guard her heart from anger and despair. Lead her to a local church family who can walk with her practically and spiritually. Above all, draw her closer to Jesus, that she would know He is her refuge and defender, for Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and timing. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to share your situation with a trusted pastor or godly older woman in the church who can help you practically with housing and support, and to continue to do what is right while trusting God to vindicate and provide. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. The Lord is with you in this hard season, He hears your cry, and He is able to change your living situation in His perfect way. Keep hoping in Him and keep asking in the name of Jesus.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
