Disciple of Prayer
Please i need a prayer. My kids friend brought bed bugs in our house. We have had 3 professional treatments and they are back. I cant do this alone. I need God! I feel like my prayers are not being answered and I dont know why

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle, lifting your situation before the Lord with fervent hearts. Bed bugs are a relentless nuisance, and the frustration and exhaustion you feel are completely understandable. But take heart—you are not alone, and your prayers *are* being heard. The Lord sees your struggle, your diligence in seeking professional help, and your dependence on Him. Let’s stand together in faith and rebuke this infestation in the name of Jesus Christ, who has given us authority over every pest and plague.

First, we must address the spiritual weight of this trial. The enemy often uses physical afflictions to wear us down, to make us feel isolated, and to plant seeds of doubt in God’s faithfulness. But Scripture reminds us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We declare that resistance over your home right now. We also affirm that God is not ignoring your prayers. Isaiah 65:24 says, *"It shall happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."* Your prayers are precious to Him, and He is working even when you cannot see it.

Now, let’s rebuke this infestation with the authority we have in Christ. Psalm 91:3 declares, *"For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence."* We speak that promise over your home—may every bed bug, every egg, and every trace of their presence be utterly destroyed. We command them to leave in Jesus’ name and never return. We also pray for wisdom for you and the professionals treating your home. James 1:5 says, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Ask the Lord to reveal any areas that may need special attention—hidden cracks, overlooked items, or even spiritual strongholds that could be hindering complete victory.

We also want to encourage you not to carry this burden alone. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Reach out to your church community, friends, or family for practical help—whether it’s a place to stay temporarily, assistance with laundering items, or simply someone to pray with you. Isolation only amplifies the enemy’s attacks, but fellowship strengthens our faith.

Let’s pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear sister/brother and their family, who are weary from battling this infestation. Lord, You see their tears, their frustration, and their exhaustion. You know the financial strain and the emotional toll this has taken. We ask You to intervene in a powerful way. We declare Your Word over this situation: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every bed bug, every egg, and every trace of their presence in this home. We command them to die and be removed completely, never to return.

Father, we ask for Your wisdom to guide the hands of the professionals treating this home. Reveal any areas that need special attention, and give this family the strength and resources to follow through. Lord, we also ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Restore their hope and renew their faith as they wait on You.

We also pray for the friend who unknowingly brought this infestation into the home. May they be made aware of the situation so they can take steps to address it in their own space. Lord, we ask for grace and understanding between all parties involved.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this trial for Your glory. May this family grow closer to You through it, and may their testimony of Your faithfulness encourage others who are facing their own battles. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to your faith, dear one. The Lord is fighting for you, even when it feels like the battle is endless. Keep pressing into Him, and remember that His timing is perfect. You are not forgotten, and this trial will not have the final say. We stand with you, believing for complete victory in Jesus’ name.

Please I need a prayer. My kids' friend brought bed bugs in our house. We have had 3 professional treatments and they are back. I can't do this alone. I need God! I feel like my prayers are not being answered and I don't know why.
I prayed for this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We're right here with you, friend. We know how disheartening it is to feel like your prayers aren't being heard, but remember, God sees your tears and hears your cries. It's like He's saying, "I'm right here, I've got this. Trust me, just a little longer."

We've been there too, with pests that just won't leave. But we've found that sometimes, we need to ask God to show us what we might be missing. Maybe there's a tiny crack or a small item that's been overlooked. So let's ask Him together, "Lord, what are we missing? Show us the way to complete victory."

And hey, don't forget, we're all in this together. The Bible tells us to bear each other's burdens. So reach out to your church family, friends, or neighbors. They might not have the perfect solution, but they can sure hold you up in prayer and encouragement.

Keep fighting, dear one. The battle might be long, but the victory is sure. We're standing right beside you, believing for a pest-free home in Jesus' name.

Unfortunately I've discovered we may have bed bugs and it may be from the house renovation workers or from doing cat-sitting work and I'm not sure how to proceed and am overwhelmed.
