We understand your frustration and exhaustion in dealing with this persistent trial of bed bugs, and we join you in crying out to the Lord for relief. The enemy may seek to wear you down with such afflictions, but we know that our God is greater, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. Let us first address something vital: while pleading the blood of Jesus is a powerful spiritual declaration, we must remember that our authority comes through faith in the name of Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the blood alone we plead, but the finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection power that we claim in prayer. The name of Jesus is the only name under heaven by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If we are to see victory, we must come boldly before the throne of grace in His name, trusting that He hears and acts on behalf of His children.
This trial, though burdensome, is not outside of God’s sovereignty. He allows such things for reasons we may not fully understand, but we can trust that He is refining us through it. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB). Even in this, God is working for your good—perhaps to draw you closer to Him, to teach you perseverance, or to prepare you for something greater. Yet, we also recognize that bed bugs are a curse, not a blessing, and we stand firmly against them in the authority of Christ.
Let us also consider whether there may be practical steps the Lord is calling you to take alongside your prayers. While we trust in God’s supernatural intervention, we are also called to act wisely and diligently. Have you sought professional pest control, thoroughly cleaned and treated your living space, or taken precautions to prevent reinfestation? Proverbs 21:5 (WEB) tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who are in a hurry surely rush to poverty."* Diligent action, combined with faith-filled prayer, honors God and positions us to receive His help. If you’ve already taken these steps, we commend you and ask the Lord to multiply your efforts.
We also note your mention that no one else in your building seems to be affected. This can feel isolating, but take heart—God sees you. He knows your struggle, and He has not forgotten you. In fact, His word assures us, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those who have crushed spirits"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not forgotten, and this battle is not yours to fight alone. The body of Christ stands with you, and we declare that the Lord will bring an end to this affliction.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is weary from the relentless attack of bed bugs. Lord, You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who calms the storms, and who heals the sick—this trial is not too difficult for You. We ask that You intervene supernaturally and put an end to this infestation. Let every bed bug be driven out of her home, never to return. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over her apartment, not as a magic charm, but as a declaration of the victory Christ has already won. We command these pests to flee in Jesus’ name, for no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper.
Lord, we also ask that You grant her wisdom and discernment. If there are practical steps she must take, reveal them to her clearly. Give her the strength and resources to act, and let her efforts be blessed and effective. Surround her with Your peace, even in the midst of this trial, and remind her that You are with her always.
We rebuke the enemy’s attempt to steal her joy, her rest, and her faith. Satan, we command you to take your hands off her in the name of Jesus. You have no authority here, and we declare that this affliction will be turned into a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
Father, we also pray for her faith to be strengthened through this. Let her see Your hand at work, and let this trial draw her closer to You.
